Thread length disappointment

I tried to use this on an EPC 9 lower, with a B5 QD Endplate. I could of used some extra thread on the opposite end to pre park my endplate and castle nut so as to screw in this CBT and set it for Buffer Retaining Pin capture....which I could not achieve with my choice in aftermarket QD endplate. The photo is of this Luth CBT, (Left, with the 'L') in comparison to a common part CBT of unknown origin. Theres about a .200" difference. For fairness, I tested a common mil spec endplate and I could capture the Buffer Retaining Pin as normal. This CBT is fine to use if you dont go fancy/stronger/thicker in your endplate choices.

Defective

Bottum "lip" doesn't cover buffer retainer to keep it down. If it was machined right it would be a decent buffer tube for the money.
