Complete your Retro build with the Brownells Improved 3 Prong Flash Hider. The “Improved” Flash Hider was used following the discontinuation of the early “Duckbill” 3 Prong Flash Hider, as the thin prongs tended to bend & break. This version is proper for Model 602 & 603 rifles, as well as the XM16E1 issued to the US Military and used during Vietnam. Looks great at home on a Retro rifle, or any AR-15 of your choice.

Build the proper XM16E1 or Retro rifle of your choice with an Early 3 Prong Flash Hider. This muzzle device does not have wrench flats to install. A strap wrench or 3 prong armorers wrench is needed to properly install.

3prong flash hider

Nicely made and fits excellent. I do not have any complaints.

Just awesome

One fine piece. Completed my retro AR look. Brownell's shipped fast, but FedEx sucks. They held my order in one location for over a week. When I called them, they gave me the run around. After telling them what I thought of their service, they sent it out the next day. Other than that, great product.

Product is just what I needed to finish off my retro AR build. Took about 5 minutes to take off the old A2 and replace with this old style flash hider. Really like the look it gives my rifle.

This is a great retro part for an XM16E1 build. Be aware that it does not have a typical design that requires an armorers wrench, you will need a specialty wrench to install this. Overall, happy purchase!
