AR-15 VORTEX G6-A2 FLASH ELIMINATOR 22 CAL Reviews & Ratings

Four, specially angled flutes hide nearly 100% of muzzle flash, even during full-auto fire, by dissipating gas and retaining unburned powder for increased residual burn. Constructed of the same 8620 bar stock steel used in the manufacture of AR-15/M16 bolts and carriers, then case-hardened to provide a high-strength core and tough, outer shell. Special, helix design helps align exiting barrel gas to improve accuracy with all bullet types.

Skirt extension conceals gap between barrel shoulder and flash hider on AR-15, M16, and M4 rifles. Grooved base ring allows integration of Blank Firing Attachment (BFA) used by law enforcement trainers, and permits installation of the Smith Enterprise M4DC CQB sound and flash suppressor (available factory direct to USG/LE and FMS customers). Thread-on design requires no washer. Torque to 10 ft. lbs. maximum, self-tightens as weapon is fired. Use M-193, SS-109 (M855), and MK 262 service ammo for highest degree of flash suppression. Can be permanently attached to 14.5" long, M4 barrels for an overall length of 16.1". G6-A2 has smooth exterior.

Great Flash Hider

I have this FH installed on multiple SBRs - 2 with 10.5" barrels and 1 PSD with an 8" barrel. I shot the 5.56mm Mk318 Mod 0 ammunition through the PSD in total darkness at a Carbine Course and none of those to my sides or behind me witnessed any muzzle flashes. A couple of those to the side just saw a few sparks.

Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Flashless

The Smith Enterprises Vortex is probably one of the best that I have used over the past 50 years of dealing with the AR-15/M-16. Even with ammunition not using flash retardant powders, the muzzle flash from firing under low light conditions resulted in little to no flash signature.

Vortex flash eliminator

I use this product on every firearm that I own AR Ak Scar556 223 7.62 M14 FAL These are flash eliminators . I to have tested at night and they work. Shoot your bird cage/muzzle break at night you will be amazed.

excellent upgrade over A2 flash hider

I was impressed with this style of flash hider after shooting my nephew's gun that had this type of flash hider. It is very well machined and will be easy to clean. It hides flash well and you don't lose the compensator effect as bad as I thought. A bit more expensive, but it is worth it.

Excellent flash suppressor

I have several of the Smith Vortex muzzle device and they work very well. My main interest is minimizing tell tale muzzle flash. AR recoil is not a concern so not interested in compensating recoil. As to kicking up dust when shooting prone, not a concern for my style of shooting.

Performs even better than expected

The Vortex G6-A2 all but completely eliminates muzzle flash. Recorded series of single shots followed by several rapid fire shots from approx. 30 feet from the muzzle. At first I thought the camera was misaligned because the only thing the camera recorded was the sound of the shots fired. Compared to the stock A2 the difference is amazing. Plan to leave this on my S&W M&P 15 from now on. Thank-you Brownells!

Unit installs and functions as designed no problems. Flash reduction is phenomenal. NVD signature is greatly reduced. Outstanding product.

Can't be beat!

If you have an armorers wrench the install is easy. Use the wrench to remove the old flash suppressor. Discard any crush washers and do not replace one if found. Screw on the Vortex hand tight. That is all that is required. Much more effective on my 20" and 16" pre=ban Bushmasters than the A2 birdcage suppressors with Federal (Lake City) XM-193 ammo. Pleased I finally made the change. Works so well I am planning to buy the AK and FAL versions.

TACTICAL G6A2 VORTEX FLASH HIDER
