The Anderson Manufacturing 300 Blackout Complete Upper Receiver is a great way to quickly and conveniently build out, or change an existing AR-15 to shoot the popular 300 Blackout round. The 16” barrel has a 1-8 twist rate and a Type 3 Hard Anodized - Black Finish. The barrel utilizes a carbine length gas system with a .125 gas port, and has 5/8-24 threads with a 308 A2 Flash Hider.

Super accurate, Great Upper

Excellent upper. I installed this hoping for a decent shooting upper that didnt cost much. I put in the Brownells brand light weight BCG and mounted an ACOG on top. I am getting 1/2 MOA and better at 100 yards and can hit 500 yard steel with EVERY shot with handloads (125 GR TNT HP). I wish Brownells still carried the Anderson upper in .223 as I want one in that caliber next.

1/2 inch groups

Purchased this upper last summer and mounted it on my colt lower. Took it to the range to sight my Sightron scope and later it is shooting .50 inch groups at 100 yards. Best group was .3 inch center to center. S&B 124 grain ammo

Purchased due to the 1 in 7 twist and my desire to shoot lee cast 230 grain powder coated bullets which would not shoot consistently accurate in my 1 in 8 twist. Was a great choice, changed my carbine buffer tube to lighter buffering from Brownells and it shot beautifully for function with aa 1680 powder at subsonic speeds. Real joy to shoot and very accurate with red dot sight.

INCORRECT SPECIFICATIONS

After going to the Anderson Mfg website and looking at their specifications for this same model, I found out Brownells specifications were incorrect. The twist rate was NOT 1:7 but 1:8, and that the barrel finish is NITRIDE instead of PHOSPHATE. I also confirmed this with one of Brownells gunsmiths before positng.
