The same as psa EPT and BCM
This is the exact same trigger that PSA uses in their EPT line and that BCM uses. Don’t believe me? Look at them in person, they have the exact same roll marks / markings in the same locations.
Great Drop In Trigger
This was a replacement trigger group for the CZ Colt AR recall. This trigger group is awesome after a short break in. No issues.
Worth the money
I bought this trigger to replace the stock trigger that came with my PSA Ar15 pistol. Excellent feel, very smooth, you'll like it.
Good Value
Schmid Triggers are in a lot of factory guns. They are decent Triggers! If you have a factory built rifle, look at the hammer, and see if "S S" is stamped in the hammer. Chances are, you already have a schmid FCG install. I think the Teflon coating helps the smooth movement on the trigger & hammer pins. Makes it roll nice & smooth. Add a little grease to the pins, and it's pretty good trigger. You can buy different hammer & trigger Springs, but I just used the included Springs, and I'm happy with the performance. I had spare trigger/hammer pins in my spare parts, and I simply polished them before adding a bit of grease. Anyway, it's a good set, and a good value. Good luck.
Good Trigger and Great Price!!!
I installed this trigger in a Ruger AR-556 lower used for a dedicated .22 LR AR build. This is literally the same polished and plated Schmid trigger that ALG, PSA, SOLGW, Sionics, and all the others sell, only at a great price and backed by Brownell's forever warranty. The best description is that they feel like a well broken-in MilSpec trigger, right out of the bag and the only way to get a better trigger is spending 3X or more $$$. This trigger is perfect for all uses short of master class action or target shooting. The negative? The MilSpec trigger design requires the trigger to "cam" the hammer back slightly before it releases (its a safety feature). If you use the supplied hammer and trigger springs it is barely (or un) noticeable on these polished/plated triggers. I installed JP reduced power springs (remember this is a dedicated rimfire gun) and there is a touch of smooth creep in the trigger pull. I will be picking up more of these when I place a new order, guaranteed. Incidentally, Brownells is a GREAT company to do business with.
Better than ALG
I had this in a Clone I am building. It is a GREAT trigger. no creep. But the chrome colored trigger is a no go for my clone. So I switched to ALG mil-spec. I like the Schmidt better but I will be ok with the ALG.
Cost effective first upgrade.
This is a good, cost effective first upgrade for a novice AR shooter. It is no SSA-E, but it is a great deal better than the triggers in budget ARs.
Excellent replacement
Purchased the Schmidt tool fire control kit to replace a worn out mil-spec trigger...It looks great, fits great and works great, a vastly improved trigger pull, very smooth and little creep, seems to get better with use...I would recommend this trigger kit to anyone that wants to upgrade their rifle trigger, while still maintaining the durability and simplicity of a mil-spec fire control group...And very inexpensive too...Buy one, you won't regret your purchase...
Better than expected
To begin, shipping was painfully slow. I chose the cheapest shipping (usps standard) and it took a full 10 days to reach me. I would suggest not using USPS if possible. Next, when I received my package, I could hear metal parts jingling around inside. This was shipped in a 8x8x10 inch box, with some brown paper along with the trigger parts (the only item on this order). The product packaging was a simple plastic bag. Nothing separated the components from dinging each other in transport, and the box was unnecessary. It could have all been contained in a padded envelope. This is one of my biggest gripes with online purchasing unnecessarily bulky packaging! Get with the times and stop wasting resources on overly bulky packages! It serves no purpose except to waste space and money! Now, on to the product. I am pleasantly surprised. This trigger is crisp. I mean, single stage, bolt action crisp. Its not particularly light, but its such an improvement over milspec, that I dont care. I have a PSA EPT that is very nice, but this is noticeably better. It ended up being worth the wait, and elevated my milspec KP15 lower to a different level of handling. If you want to move past the 2 stage, creepy milspec trigger that was supplied with your complete lower (or parts group), this would be my first choice.
Excellent triggers
I feel extremely fortunate to have purchased this trigger. Two, in fact one for my wife's rifle and one for mine. These triggers are quite similar to the BCM PNT triggers because the PNT is in fact made by Schmid! Compare the 2 and both feature the Schmid Squared S, teflon coating and just robust and simple design. These Schmid triggers have little take up, break very crisply with zero perceived grit and reset is smooth and quick. Once reset, the next break is crisp and very consistent. Think of these as Mil Spec+. Some may see the lack of included pins as a negative, but Im completely indifferent. Wife's rifle had a stock AR trigger pin back out at the range. These rifles are our SHTF rifles. Its critical that they just work and are reliable without question. You'd do yourself an enormous favor pairing this great trigger with a set of KNS anti-rotation pins. Have them on all 3 of my ARs. Just one less stupid failure to worry about. Schmid is the lower parts manufacturer of choice for brands like Aero Precision, BCM, Sons Of Liberty and many more. Their quality production is evident in the two triggers I purchased. I highly recommend these triggers and consider them the bare minimum trigger of any future AR build.
