Bad quality control on product received
I ordered this product to see if it might duplicate a standard AR with a trigger job. The product arrived promptly from Brownells but when I opened the package and looked at the hammer I could see some marks on the on the hammer ledge without any aid other than my glasses on my old eyes. I took a 30x loupe and saw some serious gouges that when I fitted it to the trigger gave a fairly gritty/rough feel. I assume that this was just a fluke that slipped by without inspection but then I thought "what if something else like proper heat treating had just slipped by inspection". Look at the images enclosed. I no longer have access to photo-micrograph equipment but the flaws are very visible. I could have easily cleaned-up and polished the flaw but I bought this product with the teflon coating to avoid the minor hassle of going through that step. Any stoning and polishing would have removed the teflon coating so that would be a waste of $$$ So, from now on, I will just order a standard mil-spec trigger and do the trigger job myself. It takes me about 30 minutes to make the trigger smooth and as crisp as a mil-spec trigger can feel. This was a minor disappointment...
