AR-15 TACTICAL TRIGGER GROUP Reviews & Ratings

CMC’s self-contained, drop-in trigger module replaces the heavy factory trigger found in many commercial AR-15s and delivers a crisp, clean pull with a consistent, pre-set pull weight. Originally designed by competition shooter Chip McCormick to provide all the advantages of a fine, match-grade, single-stage trigger without having to fit and adjust multiple components. A rigid, steel, trigger housing holds all the factory-tuned internal components in proper alignment for easy, fast installation. Generous, precision-ground sear/hammer engagement surfaces provide a remarkably clean, crisp release while preserving reliable function. Each trigger assembly is tweaked at the factory to minimize take-up and over-travel. Threaded sleeves provide ultra-smooth pivot surfaces for the hammer and trigger. Two, slightly oversized center pins replace the standard, trigger/hammer pins to save wear, reduce friction, and prevent trigger wobble; "Chicago"-style screws prevent pin walk. CMC single-stage AR-15 triggers are available with traditional Curved trigger shoe, or skeletonized Flat shoe that provides a different feel some shooters prefer and gives your AR a distinctive look. SPECS: Hammer/Trigger - Steel, blued finish. Housing - Steel, in-the-white. Fixed pull weight is not user-adjustable. Includes two (2) Chicago-style center pins. Fits AR-15 (or AR-308 that uses AR-15 trigger) with .154" diameter trigger and hammer pins.

Inconsistent pull, and lots of travel

Was easy to install and like the flat trigger shape. Trigger has too much travel and the pull is inconsistent. I would not recommend for accurate shooting. Could work fine for short distance rapid fire.

Easy instalation

Not a very good single stage trigger, too much take up with a lot of trigger creep. Nice clean break but this is overshadowed by the take up. Very easy installation. I would not recommend this trigger to anyone.

Disappointment

I dropped this into a brand new CMMG lower expecting the best in line with glowing reviews read here and elsewhere. Actual achieved results disappointed me. Single stage pull measured 4 lbs. with RCBS trigger pull gage. Was smooth enough, but creep was right at 1/16 inch measured with digital caliper at center of trigger curve. Not at all good, esp when I am setting up a heavy barreled varminter, needing precise trigger control for pinpoint accuracy at longer ranges. At the NRA convention, I tried the Geissele match trigger. AMAZING! I went looking for CMC there, and found their booth space empty. CMC is located pretty close to me, but emails and calls have brought no response at all.
