BRAVO COLLAPSIBLE MIL-SPEC STOCK FOR AR-15 Reviews & Ratings

B5 SYSTEMS BRAVO COLLAPSIBLE MIL-SPEC STOCK FOR AR-15

Building upon the success of the B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD, B5 has taken the features end users demand; offering them in a lighter, more compact, and stronger buttstock. The Bravo stock maintains the SOPMOD cheek weld, one piece anti-rotation quick disconnect sling mount, non-slip cushioned buttpad, and improved sure grip stock latch. The Bravo omits the storage capability of the SOPMOD to provide a slimmer profile and angles the rear of the stock ensuring quick and consistent stock placement against the shoulder and cheek. Made of Mil-Spec materials and finishes.

Currently employed by the U.S. military, this reinforced polymer stock fits M4-type receiver extensions and offers an improved cheekweld designed for increased comfort and consistency. Streamlined contours resist snagging on clothing, equipment, or vegetation to aid in safe and stealthy operation. Sure-Grip stock latch ensures convenient and intuitive length-of-pull adjustment, while the anti-slip rubber recoil pad secures the weapon to the operator’s shoulder. Features a black, stainless steel QD swivel mount and two molded 1¼" wide sling slots.

Comfortable…but
I picked one of these up years ago, and it’s been great. I recently picked up another in OD for a build, and like said from another reviewer, the adjustment lever is finicky. The pin gets stuck, or is not fully seated. I’m kinda disappointed in this one. I may look at the CTR from Magpul for my purposes of long range shooting.

FDE B5 SOPMOD Stock
Extremely comfortable and tight fit. The stock looks very good and appears to be made with good quality. However the adjustment lever for this stock is downright disappointing, it is extremely finicky and is difficult to tell whether or not it is firmly seated in the correct slot. I would expect much more from such a basic feature thats a part of ANY collapsible stock. Even the cheapo ones that come with any plain ar15 have a better and more firm quality adjustment lever. This is a basic feature that seems to have been skimped out on. Unfortunately it bothers me, but not enough to send it back. Would like to see some quality improvement before buying one for any of my other rifles.

Average to below average buttstock
Product would not snugly for milspec bigger tube. Product was returned. Otherwise quality construction and solid cheek weld when shouldering. Comfortable end plate and ergonomics

Great stock but room for improvement
Bought this stock as an upgrade to my patrol rifle(a Colt 6933). Cheek weld is awesome and very comfortable. Definitely a significant improvement over an M4 stock. The rubber pad is a nice touch for traction on the vest. Now the negative. It was so tight on the Colt receiver extension I had to sand the inside of the stock significantly to make it fit. For giggles I checked another USGI contact extension and found the same problem. B5 needs to figure this out as at the price point it's unacceptable. Once I fitted the stock it was great. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 if this model was priced comparably to the Magpul MOE stock but it's significantly more and requires fitting. I would rate it 4 out of 5 if I didn't have to sand the interior of the stock to make it fit. Overall I would recommend this stock to a friend if they were looking for a better cheek weld than the Magpul MOE. The cheek weld is what makes it an improvement over the MOE or standard M4 stock. Otherwise I would skip this stock and get a MOE or CTR.

Kinda loose
Been wanting to leave some feed back but been procrastinating for a few years. 2013, I have purchased the bravo stock with the intention to build a budget AR. Once installed it was kinda loose. Removed stock and tried it to my other rifles and same result, "loose"! To be frank I was not impressed. B5 should be more focused on quality control. Got out my heat gun to mold it to my milspec tube to fix problem...
