Several negative reviews that are 10+ years old out there on the internet but this stock has had several revisions over the years. SOLID as can be. Good weight. Top tier level construction. The hype is real and the price is justified. Bonus that its super good looking. I put this on a Mossberg 590SPX with a Mesa Tactical LEO Gen II adaptor and an SB Tactical folding adaptor. (Pictured) Shipped to me in Canada but was VERY slow due to customs clearing and an error in my shipping address by Brownells
Simply the best
Solid, well thought out design, strong and smoth mechanism. Easy to Install, extremely durable and tough. I have used many collapsible stocks over the years and in my humble opinion this is the best. Big suprise is how tight it locks up, makes for an accurate platform.
Beast of a stock
Have had this on my Patrol Rifle for a year now and haven't looked back. Adds a good amount of weight to the weapon and coupled with an ST-T2 buffer the recoil reduction is amazing. Flattest shooting rifle I have ever shot. The tube is much thicker than a milspec buffer tube and the foam tube creates a very comfortable cheek weld. Even the included recoil pad is fantastic. While this may not be ideal for a constant carry situation (ie military) this stock suits my needs perfectly. When they say you can break down a door with this stock, they weren't kidding!
Tough stock
I originally had the Gen 1 version on my rifle. Due to recent training and malfunction clearing techniques from Mike Pannone, I decided to go to the Gen 4 version. This was money well spent. The buffer tube is strong enough to use as a battering device (only when fully collapsed). Combined with a Magpul ASP, this is a great way to go.
Heavy Duty all in one package
I used this AR stock for a carbine build for a co-workers son. He wanted something different and we hadn't seen this one in person yet. I couldn't be happier! The description is lacking as to what you really get, but with a simple call to Brownells they were able to fill in the blanks...great CS as always!! This stock has an intregal buffer tube/reciever extention. It also came with an ambi sling endplate, slotted style, not the hole style. I used a Magpul ASAP sling plate on this build but the included plate will go on another of my co-workers AR's The only issue is the castle nut is larger than most. My castle nut wrench would not fit, but my armorers tool has the old style spanner wrench section. Carefully using that tool was able to get the job done. Overall this stock is a very solid addition to an AR.
