AR-15 SLT-1 CURVED TRIGGERS

AR-15 SLT-1 CURVED TRIGGERS Reviews & Ratings

Military-type AR triggers tend to be heavy and gritty, so when the KE Arms folks set out to design their SLT-1 Curved Trigger solving that problem was their first goal. They also wanted installation of the SLT-1 to be a simple, drop-in procedure so any AR-15 owner could do the job. Using their innovative "sear link" technology, KE Arms team eliminated the disconnector entirely, producing a constant engagement between the sear and hammer that gives a smooth, consistent pull. And it ensures the SLT-1 trigger resets quickly, ensuring lightning fast follow-up shots. Since there’s no disconnector, energy is conserved and concentrated, producing that gratifyingly smooth pull with less wear and superior longevity.

  • Self-contained, drop-in module fits mil-spec fire control pocket
  • Single-stage 4.5 lb. "Goldilocks" pull - not to heavy, not too light
  • Pre-set at the factory to have minimal takeup/overtravel (not user adjustable)
  • Drastically reduces split times
  • Fits standard .153" hammer/trigger pin receiver holes
  • Available alone or packaged with KE Arms ambidextrous safety that can be set to 90 or 45 throw

The SLT-1 even lets you engage the safety regardless of whether the hammer is cocked or down. This greatly reduces the risk of an accidental discharge when transitioning or clearing malfunctions. On the ergonomic side, the SLT-1’s traditional curved shoe guides your finger into the same location for every shot, ensuring a consistent pull. Finally, all moving parts are sealed inside the housing, protecting them from fouling and debris. The KE Arms STL-1 curved trigger is compatible with any mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver, pistol caliber blow back systems, and the SIG Sauer MPX. (Will not work with SIG MCX firing pin safety.) Also available with a straight shoe - #100-027-835.

BEST TRIGGER FOR KP-15
The info on what triggers will fit a KP-15 lower is incomplete everywhere you look, so I turned to trial and error once I got my first one. I had a Gessiele SSP trigger that did not work very well in a previous build so that was the first one I tried. It fit the KP-15 and worked great and is still in the rifle. The only thing I did differently was use a KE Arms extended hammer pin as a mil spec pin sits below flush and looks goofy. On my next one I used my favorite AR trigger, a 3lb single stage Timney. It fit, but the screws that tighten up the Timney bowed out the bottom of the receiver. I didnt want the hassle of making a metal shim so I ordered the KE Arms trigger, the SLT-1 and swapped out the Timney. It fits great as you'd expect and installation is actually easier than a mil spec setup. This is a good quality trigger. There is very little take up and creep and hardly any over travel. If I had to rate it with mil spec being a 1 and Timney a 10 I would place this trigger at a solid 8. This is the best trigger overall for the KP-15. Construction is simple. Its essentially a tuned and lightened milspec style unit fitted into a cassette. One big difference of course us that the SLT unit is single stage. The cassete has keepers built into it that capture the pins which is why assembly is easier than just about any other trigger I've seen. These are well built and the design seems to be as durable as the original mil spec. I will use these in all my future KP-15 builds and recommend them to anyone else with a KP-15 lower. Don't forget to order an extended hammer pin and KE Arms safety selector as well, those are parts I figured out I wanted after I got my first lower then had to wait to get hold of. If you are thinking about a KP-15 lower you should get one, they are easier to assemble than anything else out there and are a great design.

Worth It
I bought one of these triggers for my WWSD build. After using this trigger side-by-side with a stock mil-spec trigger while sighting them scopes in, I quickly bought one for each of my AR-15 rifles. I have used this trigger in a Tactical Response Fighting Rifle class and it performed with absolutely no issue. While training, I run my rifle hard looking for things that may break. I want to test my equipment to make sure that I can trust my life to it. I trust this trigger. I will be taking Urban Rifle at Thunder Ranch soon and expect this trigger to have no issues there either. Worth the money in my opinion and super easy to install. The pins are also captive.
