Works well. Functions as advertised
Very good fit
The safety fit well and the operation is smooth.
Works like a champ!
Works great with my Hyperfire trigger. Used another, higher priced safety that failed a function check.
Pricey, but worth it.
Purchased two of these for a couple of older Bushmaster ARs. They were easy to install and function perfectly. If you shoot left-handed or want to practice shooting on your offhand side, these are an ideal solution. Consider using a drop of blue Loctite on the screw to help secure it.
AR-15 CMMG Ambi Selector
Im not sure what I can add to the other reviews. I use these on every AR I own. I did try a cheaper version (from an entirely different company) and I was totally shocked at the lack of quality on that brand. One side lever was much smaller than the other. It was gritty throughout its travel AND this was the second one. I broke the longer lever in half trying to get the first one installed. Dont make my mistake, buy the CMMG. Its definitely worth the extra money.
One of the best ambi safeties
I only use 90 degree throw safeties and the CMMG ones are among the best, can't speak for the short throw kind. I've used 2 other cheaper kind with one being an exact look of the CMMG. They fail miserably at the quality from CMMG. When you go to flip the selector it's like it wants to go into the next position. With the other kinds you have to ride the selector the whole way. There is just a different feel and quality to these. The screw that holds the right side on will come loose like others have said. I usually use Uncle Mike's Gun Tite by Loctite or I use purple Loctite or Permatex, whichever I have. Purple is a really low set for adjustment screws that may need reset but this keeps them from vibrating loose. Anyway, they're a good buy and I prefer having the opposite side so it makes it easier to put back on SAFE when I'm done shooting at the moment. Thanks for reading.
Be Careful. Good Product.
It's a good solid product. It's basically a regular selector that's been drilled and threaded to allow the second lever to be attached with a tiny screw. There's also a groove or slot that the second lever fits into. It's a good design, built with quality steel, and works really well. The only concern is that the tiny screw does loosen up. It will happen. I'm not a fan of using thread locker on small screws because the screws tend to strip during removal. But, it is necessary in this case. Use a very small amount of thread locker. Good luck
Very happy
Purchased this ambi selector and installed on four different brand rifles, three AR-15s and one AR-10. Very easy to install and matched the OEM. Too bad the rifle makers just dont install them to begin with.
Nice looking part
Well machined. Finish is a higher gloss painted type finish.
Love the full size lever
This safety has minimum slop, a full length lever on both sides, functions flawlessly and is a quality upgrade over the factory unit . I have them in all of my ARs and I'm very happy with them.
