Recreate an American Classic with the Brownells M16A1 Furniture Kits, built to accurately replicate the original Stock issued to thousands of American servicemen & women. The included M16A1 style buttstock, handguard and pistol grip are modeled off of original components, designed to bring affordable, original type gear back to market. There is surplus available, but these parts are continuing to dry up and the quality is often quite poor. Excellent condition items are getting quite expensive. With these furniture kits, you can outfit your favorite Retro rifle in the proper stylings of the period.

Available in several different colors including:

Black - Proper for Model 602, XM16E1, M16A1 & later generation rifles introduced after 1963
Green - Proper for early Model 601 rifles, the first AR-15 adopted by the US Air Force in 1959
Brown - Similar to the earliest AR-15 Prototype rifle furniture used in the late 1950s

Retro furniture from Brownells is not an exact copy of original components or their construction. Some areas have been changed due to manufacturing methods or to avoid counterfeit concerns.

Built a m16A1 with a Brownell's lower and A1 upper. Was in a tree in Georgia admiring the fit and quality and a hog came by. Game over. Just like in 1967.

What I Needed

Was looking to build a Vietnam era M16 "look alike". This fit the bill. Good price, looks good, and shoots well. And, it suited my needs. One very small issue, the forearm doesn't quite fit snugly. Not a deal breaker. Happy overall, and is a nice addition to my collection. Glad i grabbed it while it was still available.

This is a dream build everything went together well, no issues at all. Just one thing, I waited too long build a M16A1 clone! Thank you Brownells for making my dream come true!

Perfect for my AR

This is just what I wanted, I have the black furniture and love it but the green furniture will just make the AR pop I really believe I will get lots of good comments. I have not installed the new parts as of yet.

Amazing set

Looks amazing, the handguard fits nice and tight on my rifle compared to the black set. the pistol grip has better feeling of the checkering as well all in all I am very pleased with my purchase looks great on my gun

Perfect for your 601 build

These are the closest color to factory for a 601 replica build. No having to find a spray paint to match - these look great.

I have all 3 color sets of retro furniture from Brownells. The brown retro furniture always gets the most attention when i take it to the gun range. The brown furniture is my favorite because i love prototype rifles. I am going to buy another set just to have just in case my current set breaks for any reason.
