A drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M4 Mil-Spec carbine buffer tubes, the SL-K is designed for compact PDW style weapons or users desiring a small and light stock.

Features a shorter and slimmer profile, a smaller rubber butt-pad with rolled toe for easy shouldering and sure grip, and a 1.25"" footman's loop with the ability to accept an optional M-LOK QD Sling Mount for push-button style QD sling swivels. A new, unique, ambidextrous release latch minimizes rattle on the receiver extension without requiring additional locks, levers, or springs.

Great compact stock

After buying one of these for a SBR, I bought two more on sale for other SBR's I own. They are just the right size for a compact rifle; they fit well and don't rattle. Brownell's was out of stock of the Black color, so I tried the gray; it's close enough to black to work.

Best adjustable stock

I initially bought this as an experiment. I rather like the MFT Minimalist and its feathery weight and large are the shoulder. However, I wanted to use a shooting bag on a bench and like the looks and sleekness of the SL, and the SL-K is similar but lighter, Magpil makes great stiluff, so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surpised how comfortable on the shoulder the smallish buttpad feels, has a superior shape and texture to the MFT, and only 2oz heavier. Also, when (not if) the pad needs replacement, the Magpul SL-K has two screws holding it on, so it can be replaced. The pad also has an aggressive texture (large horizontal grooves) and seems to made made from a soft polymer instead of a sticky thick rubber sheet glued onto it like the MFT. Color and texture and adjustment lever are good and match many FDE items, and indeed very low-snag. This does lack a sling plug, but I mount mine on a Troy end-plate with 3X QD plugs (Right, Left, & Center holes). I wonder if this model is oft-overlooked, but ot shouldn't be!
