MOE-K® GRIP FOR AR15/M4

MOE-K® GRIP FOR AR15/M4 Reviews & Ratings

Designed as a drop-in upgrade for the standard AR15/M4 pistol grip, the MOE-K Grip provides an extremely low profile and compact design with a steeper grip angle compared to more traditional styles. The more vertical grip angle is optimized for use on PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) configurations and improves comfort and control on short LOP rifles that bring the primary hand in closer to the shooter's body. The thin profile and lack of backstrap 'beavertail' also makes it an excellent choice for shooters who prefer a smaller grip circumference.

Ergonomics and Comfort
72%
Many reviews mention the grip's ergonomic design, particularly benefiting users with smaller hands. Reviewers appreciate the grip's angle and shape that enhance comfort and control, making it suitable for precise shooting. However, a notable percentage of users with larger hands found it uncomfortable, highlighting that it's tailored for a specific audience.
Product Fit and Size
68%
The grip's size is frequently discussed, with positive feedback from those with small to medium hands who find it a perfect fit. Conversely, several reviews mention that the grip may be too small or short for average to larger hands, leading to dissatisfaction and potential returns. This split in feedback signifies that fit may vary greatly among users.
Weight and Design
65%
Reviewers often commend the lightweight design of the MOE-K Grip, noting that it contributes to an overall more manageable setup for various firearms. Its minimalist design is well received, especially for builds focused on weight reduction. The absence of a beavertail is seen as a positive aspect for some users looking for a more compact grip.
Installation Experience
25%
Installation feedback is mixed, with some users reporting difficulties due to its thinner profile. While the grip is appreciated for its tight fit, this can pose challenges during installation, especially when aligning with the receiver. This aspect signifies the need for careful handling and might discourage some users.
Product Quality
60%
The build quality of the MOE-K Grip receives positive remarks, with most users acknowledging it as a well-constructed product. However, some reviews indicate inconsistencies in quality, such as poor molding affecting fit. Despite this, many affirm that Magpul products generally maintain high standards.

Poor molding dimensional quality
I purchased the FDE colored version. The ears on the outer corners of the groove to fit the lower receiver is too narrow. They are slightly bent inward due to poor molding processing. They probably ejected the part too soon from molds so the part distorted upon cooling. The groove is .348" wide and the lower receiver grip rib is .367" wide . I can file and machine it to fit but other cheaper brands can be used out of the box. Having to finish a Magpul product costing more is a big disappointment.
2
Not what I was needing
As the others stated, it was too small for my liking. It was well made and the grip angle was what i wanted. But the smaller size made me return it. And I reinstalled my MIAD on the rifle. Sorry Magpul, but a little more research would have discovered this. Just look at the reviews on here. It would most likely work great if I had a small hand though.

For Small Hands
I use a lot of Magpul products. I think they make stuff that is good in concept and in functionality. I feel the K-Grip has the concept side but falls flat on the functionality side. It feels like a rushed product that didn't see enough testers. The grip is too short too narrow and all around too small. I am a very average sized guy and the grip while off the gun felt a little on the small end but do-able; as soon as it was on the gun it was clear it was NOT do-able considering my pinky was hanging off the bottom of the grip. This would probably make a great grip for my wife. Love Magpul stuff, just not this.
