DURAMAG has solved the geometry and durability problems of putting straight-walled, big-bore rounds in a magazine designed for smaller, tapered cartridges by simply not doing it. Unlike other stop-gap solutions such as after-market followers or springs, the DURAMAG .450 Bushmaster is a complete solution designed from the ground up to properly support the round in a magazine that fits into the AR15 magazine well.

Until now the challenge has always been the magazine. While originally intended to fit a standard AR15 magazine, improper geometry and follower design has led to feeding issues and rifle malfunctions. Some home-remedies worked, but the unique stresses caused by this load typically deformed the magazine after just 10-20 cycles.

Thousands of rounds from a single magazine of in-house and third-party testing by firearms manufacturers have confirmed DURAMAG is the answer. An advancement in magazine design and construction has made this possible. By creating a proprietary internal bracing system and laser-welding it into a 410 stainless-steel body, DURAMAG can control round stack and prevent misalignment when rounds attempt to double stack. Quality product

I tried standard 20 round 5.56 magazines with modified followers. They did not retain the 450BM rounds at the right attitude for proper feeding, letting the nose of the cartridge ride too high, causing jams. The Bushmaster magazines are high quality and hold the cartridges at the proper angle, feeding smoothly into the chamber without any problems.

As described, and a marked improvement

I had converted mags for 450 Bush with all kinds of feeding issues. Not ideal when hunting hogs, for sure. These seem to load and feed clean, and I trust them to work for years to come.

Best.450 mag

My .50cal ammo fits nice and straight in a standard mag, but when I built my .450 I noticed the rounds were trying to stagger a little, and was worried about feeding issues. These mags have side spacers to keep the .450 RDS in line and are very sturdy... Must have for any AR chambered in .450. I wish they made a 15-20rd mag.

The best choice to feed .450 Bushmaster

This is the .450 Bushmaster magazine you want. Very reliable and high quality construction all around. .450 Bushmaster can be finicky in some ARs given its straight-wall design and hunting-style bullets, and using proper magazines will eliminate one variable for solving the puzzle of what your rifle likes to shoot.

Perfect 7 round magazine for the 450 bushmaster. Feeds every round, every time. It goes in a little hard when it's full, but that's no problem for me.
