Great Deal Good Quality
To be honest over the last decade I can't tell you how many of these I've purchased. I usually build about 7 AR a year for my personal collection but that's not including custom builds I do for friends and family and other people. I would highly recommend this product definitely a great deal for the price no concerns.
Great product
Finished an AR build with this upper, the upper that came with the parts kit had very poor fit. I received this one in the mail yesterday and installed it today, the fit and finish was perfect. Im very pleased with this upper and the price was right as well.
Perfect
Fits flawlessly on both my Aero and S&W lowers. I definitely will be buying more and recommending this upper to other shooters.
A Good Quality Upper Receiver
This Upper looks good and it has a good quality finish. I used an Aero Precision Upper Parts Kit to finish it and had no issues. Perfect fit. I also installed a Ballistics Advantage Hanson 12.3 barrel and the feed ramps lined up perfectly. It mated with an Anderson Lower Receiver fairly well. The only negative thing I noticed was a slight gap towards the rear Takedown Pin between the Brownells Upper and the Anderson Lower Receiver, but had very minimal wobble between the two. Overall, I would recommend this Upper Receiver. Its a great quality Upper and the price is right!
Basic Upper No Frills
A basic upper. Customers wanting a basic build for a training & home SD weapon have a good start with this upper plus value. MilSpec on hand parts did fit & function. Barrel recess is tight but no problem. No T marks. Was tight on a SAA lower at the take-down & pivot pin holes. Nothing else exciting but it will give a basic start for those who need a AR type weapon to keep the foxes out of the chicken coop.
Brownells M4 stripped upper receiver
I purchased two of these, one for myself and one as a gift. As with all products offered by Brownells both were of exceptional quality and value. I personally like that I can add all of my own components during my builds. If youre on the fence about one of these uppers pull the trigger you wont be disappointed.
Two custom builds with no issues
Bought and built custom uppers on two of these: they worked great and I had no issues. Great final finishing; no issues with threads, pin holes, etc.
High quality upper.
I just completed a build using this upper. It was up to specification and I encountered no problems in completing my barreled assembly. Tested the rifle and encountered no problems of any kind while firing. Good product at a good price. Will buy another soon.
Good quality and great price
I've used the Brownells upper for a dozen or so builds and find it to be a good quality upper at a very good price. I've had no issues with fitment using upper components from Luthar, DPMS, and Colt. I've also had no issues with barrel fitment from Ballistic Advantage, Colt, FN, Satern and Krieger. Several of the builds have well over 10,000 rounds and run great. I've also used them from everything from 10.3" 5.56 and 300 BLK to 18" MK12 and 20" National Match builds. I've also ordered several as 'blems' and have never noticed why they are labeled as such. Though most of my builds are destined for high round counts and I don't overly concern myself with perfect finishes.
Excellent Upper
Used this upper for a 10.3 300 AAC pistol build and I'm very happy I did. I was lucky enough to be able to try it on Aero, PSA, Ruger and Colt lowers and the fit was very good on all of them. I lapped these uppers by hand and was pleased to see how true they both where. Honestly I don't think I really needed to bother. Working slowly by the time I started to cut through the anodizing they were done. It was more like I was confirming how square they were instead of squaring them up. I literally couldn't have been happier with the 2 I received.
