LOW PROFILE ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCKS FOR AR-15

LOW PROFILE ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCKS FOR AR-15 Reviews & Ratings

AERO PRECISION LOW PROFILE ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCKS FOR AR-15
The Aero Precision Adjustable Gas Block allows the user to finely tune their gas system for any application. This is particularly useful for managing excess gas to reduce blowback on suppressed firearms, or competition builds where the shooter is looking to mitigate recoil.

FEATURES:
  • Standard low-profile design provides great fit under slim profile free float handguards including the Aero Precision ATLAS series of handguards
  • Adjustment screw is held in place by a spring and detent, providing repeatable audible "clicks" upon adjustment removing the need for secondary set screws that can come loose under recoil
  • Custom machined stainless-steel adjustment screw provides 15 gas adjustment settings
  • Carbon fouling is channeled to a sacrificial chamber to help prevent carbon locking, as well as provide an access point for solvent in the event carbon locking does occur
  • User-serviceable design allows for service and cleaning of the gas system

SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Machined from 4140 steel
  • Nitride coated
  • Compatible with barrels utilizing a .625, .750, .875 or .936 gas block journal.
  • Attaches to barrel via 10-32 x 3/16 knurled set screws

INCLUDES:
  • Assembled Adjustable Gas Block
  • One 6" 3/32 adjustment wrench for easy gas block adjustment underneath installed handguard
  • Replacement spring and detent included
  • Please note: Aero Precision do not recommend the use of red threadlocker on the threads of the set screws. If you decide to use threadlocker Aero recommend using the non-permanent variety.
*DO NOT USE THREADLOCKER OF ANY KIND ON THE GAS BLOCK ADJUSTMENT SCREW.

Adjustable gas block
Fits great on my 8.6 BO build
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

only one I use now
I've tried a couple different adjustable gas blocks and at the Brownell's price these are usually 30% below retail at other sites, including the manufacturer's. Because of the detent and the ability to rebuild them I only use these unless I'm going for a fixed gas block.

Nice adjustable gas block
Main note: gas block enclosed all the way around. No holes in the side as shown in the photo. Gas is easy to adjust with the enclosed long wrench. Easy to read instructions Used on 6.5 Grendel

NO ROLL PIN
Beware there is no roll pin for attaching the gas tube. And NO the gas tube did not come with a roll pin. I bought a $900 barrel that came with a gas tube but NO roll pin. So he I am with a $2000 investment weighting for a 10 cent roll pin. As for the gas block, it does not click distinctly.
3
Too Long
This gas block is longer than generic micro gas blocks. It does not fit on 10.5" or 11.5" intermediate gas AR barrels without hanging over the muzzle threads. Screw spacing is .500".
2
Didn't work for me
Easy to install, but gas port in block is smaller than one in barrel, would not cycle 300 black out, even with screw completely open
