Brownells AR-15 Pivot Pin Kit
Extremely easy to replace worn or damaged pivot pins. I find it helpful to lock the lower receiver in a bench vise using a receiver vise block which fits securely in the mag well.
A must have for your AR-15 build
This product was very easy to use and gave me piece of mind that the spring wouldn't go flying across my workshop. This is definitely a very helpful tool.
Saves you lots of time
This make installing the front pivot pin so much easier. Without this you need at least three hands and a lot of luck. Get one, save yourself so much frustration.
Belongs in every builders kit
Sure, you can go to a big-box home improvement store and buy something similiar that will require a bit of modification and will work, or just spend a few bucks and keep the good folks at Brownells working during these challenging times. Replaced the BAD pivot and takedown pins (that worked just fine and their install was really easy due to the extra channel and indent in their design) with FCD pins (Quack!). The filed down hex key fits right in the channel to get that detent out of the way without resorting to razor blades or jeweler's screwdrivers. Sure there's lots of ways to do this and other tools but these fit the bill and work just fine.
Great set of tools for any AR Build
I've had always struggled to install take down pins on my ARs. Many times I have Launched and searched for springs and even lost a few, but this makes it easier. I Still think these are OVERPRICED but they do do the job so I will stay with a 5-star review because they work. One thing not mentioned- instructions included. I ordered these after seeing a YouTube video showing secrets of easy builds - yes they were worth it, darn it.

Worked like I thought it would. Did not have an issue getting the front Detent in with this tool. Wish I had something to keep the buffer retainer spring in lol. Because I did loose that. Overall solidly built tool. Would buy again if I needed to
