Replacement front sight post uses a light-gathering fiber optic rod to produce a bright, easy-to-acquire dot in all light conditions. Easily replaces the post in A1- and A2-style sights, no gunsmithing required. Unique, U-shaped design of rod gathers far more light than a standard straight rod, perfect for low-light situations. Kit comes with two green and two red interchangeable rods that are easily removed and installed using the included removal tool, so you can customize the sight picture or replace a damaged rod quickly. Fully adjustable in 180° increments using supplied sight wrench, for a total elevation adjustment of up to 2.5' at 100 yards. SPECS: Black steel post with 2 green and 2 red fiber optic rods. Includes replacement detent pin, sight wrench, optic rod removal tool, carrying case, and instructions.

Live in heavily wooded area.The green fiber optics are brilliant.Thought I would replace them with red(included),But at low light the red does not come close.On all my AR's, both fixed and BUIS equiped.

Affordable alternative to Sight-Link

Fibre-optic sights are the "in" thing among iron sight afficcionados. The Hi-Viz version for AR15 front sight post is reasonably well made and price accordingly. Having the Sight-Link version as a comparison, I have to vote for the Mounting Solution Sight-Link as a much better product in terms of luminousity and brightness. If you do not mind paying the extra buck to get the most out of a fibre-optic sight, get the Sight Link. If you just wanted something good as a back up sight, the economically priced Hi-Viz will do just fine.

Fair sight, needs slight improvement.

I installed this sight on a M&P 15-22 and it fit good and adjusted easily. The horse shoe shaped fiber optic does not pick up much light. Also hard to change without losing them. I bought some fiber optic rods and installed them in the straight. This works much better & picks up a lot of light. I like the sight now.

Did Not Work For ME

This product did work, but I found the light gathering capabilities very poor. Except in direct bright light, this product offered no better sight picture than the standard black front post. - For me this was not worth the money, and I will be sending it back.

I have used 4 of these over the years. They are better than a factory sight.

Light Pipe is Worthless

I just received HI VIZ , AR-15 front sight along with a new Yankee Hill QDS front and rear sights . After much cursing , I got the HI VIZ installed ( the included sight wrench wouldn't depress the detent plunger ) and to my chagrin ...... I found it to be exactly as " S.from Hi Dst, PRK " stated in their review . The fiber optic light pipe is WORTHLESS and on top of it , it is LESS ADJUSTABLE than the plain post that came with the Yankee Hill QDS .
