AR-15 EXTENDED MAGAZINE RELEASES Reviews & Ratings

A flagship product for ODIN Works, the XMR (eXtended Magazine Release) is one accessory every AR needs. Machined from billet 6061 aluminum and designed to work with KNS pins. The XMR is 4x larger than a mil spec button making it easily accessible by all shapes and sizes of hands and fingers. Works with both AR15 lower receivers. Simple install takes only minutes, allen wrench included.

Excellent product
It seems to be just the right size. It does not interfere with my Fostech anti-walk anti rotate pins, which can be a problem with some extended magazine releases, due to the hammer pin protruding more than a standard pin. Construction of this item is very nice also.

Works well.
Works perfect on Mil Spec lowers. It is ergonomic and helps to release magazine easily 556 / .223. Excellent quality and durable piece. Easy to install, it looks good .

Easy to install, solid, works with KNS
The Odin Works extended magazine release provides more surface area, which makes it easier to release AR-15 magazines. Other extended magazine releases often do not work with KNS non-rotating trigger and hammer pins installed in a lower receiver, because they hit the KNS pin locking arms, but these do. Odin Works has a newer style extended release with stylish cuts but I find that the solid style magazine release looks very good.

A top choice for an extended mag release
This is one of my favorite extended mag releases and I run them on several rifles. They are easy to install and the locator pins on the button ensure there is no slop or play when the extension is installed. I have large hands but I still like an extended mag release as I don't have to break my grip as much when changing out mags. I think the extension has the perfect amount of texture and works well with gloves on.

Works very well
Ive gone back and added these extended magazine releases to my many AR guns that I built. Ive bought several and they work very well. Ive had some problems with Magpul extended magazine releases when using non-rotating trigger/hammer pins as that type comes straight back and theres not enough clearance between the two parts. Since the Odin Works brand angles down it clears that part. I like the red colored ones too because it adds color to an otherwise bland color of the AR. The quality is very good and is easy to install. I once used a red painted magazine release and every time I pressed in the magazine release paint would chip off the parts. This one is anodized red so the finish lasts much longer.

Works very well
Its a great modification to any AR. Ive built many ARs and began installing these extended magazine releases to many of them. I like the red color best because it highlights this part, especially in low light conditions. The extension makes it easier to release the magazine, especially if you have shorter fingers. Its very well made and easy to install. Looks great on the gun.

Great addition
Great add-on for an AR, especially if you shoot left handed. Make the mag release much easier to find and manipulate.

Look Good, Feels Good
This Odin Extended Mag Release button is a nice addition to any AR build. Installation takes only a few moments and I can easily find the button with my index finger. The vertical ridges assist with traction and you can easily eject the mag, even in dark, wet and cold conditions with gloves. In short, it works and I would recommend this to others.
