SPOKE WITH ONE OF THEIR GUNSMITHS & DISCOVERED MY RIFLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH THEIR NORMAL TRIGGER (ALG-TACTICAL COMBAT TRIGGER) !!!!! LATER DISCOVERED THAT THE TRIGGER HAD BEEN PLATED WITH A GENERIC NAMED PRODUCT THAT CHEMICALLY DUPLICATES THE ORIGINAL "ROBAR" COATING !!!! BOTTOM LINE: I SERIOUS DOUBT ANYONE WILL EVER OUT-GROW THIS MARVELOUS TRIGGER. MY "JARHEAD" INSTINCTS TELL ME THAT THE AR-TRIGGER SOLD BY "WILSON COMBAT" IS ACTUALLY THIS MODEL OF "ALG" BUT SIMPLY RENAMED---SEMPER-FI, OORAH, & KEEP EVERY SHOT CENTER-OF-MASS / COM---PVT. This is the trigger i should have replaced the Mil Spec with!
My original Mil Spec trigger came in at 6 lbs. and was gritty on the take up. I tried the JP spring set and it only made it worse with a lighter pull, and some non ignition problems. Next I replaced the original with one of those 3 1/2 lb. cassette units which i will not name here. It ran great for about 500 rounds and would not lock back unless i used the charging handle. That was $150.00 down the drain.
I installed this trigger and ran 50 rounds through the rifle and it worked perfectly. Clean take up (short take up) and clean break. Good strong reset also!
I used the purple hammer spring and also used my anti walk pins. The pins that come with it fit my lower a little loose.
With all that said, I wish I would have gone this route the first time around.
ALG ACT, under 4lb,,,
With the right spring set you can get a trigger pull weight under 4lb. Measured in a trigger jig 3lb.-13oz. Installed in a Aero Precious lower, same results. You newbie rifle builders, follow the diagram and enjoy the build. For the builders using additional optional Springs, I added the J.P. enterprises reduced power springs and got the 3lb-13oz trigger pull. Hope this helps your build and shooting experiences.

Beats the daylights out of mil-spec
I put the ALG ACT in a Palmetto State Armory AR10. The original mil-spec trigger was gritty and heavy. Brownells has a video on installing after-market triggers - I highly recommend watching that, too, if you're not regularly building out lowers. After watching the video, the new trigger went into the gun easily and works flawlessly. There's no grit anymore and the break is nice and crisp. I didn't test the pull weight on it but it certainly feels lighter than before (I used the gray spring, not the lighter purple one). After doing just one, I'll be testing out all my other AR-platforms to see which ones get a replacement. I highly recommend it to replace mil-spec triggers without breaking the bank or reducing dependability.
The Complete Package
Probably the best military type AR trigger I have ever installed. Outperforms triggers I have spent hours polishing and trying various springs with. Comes with everything you need, quality parts, and two different spring weights. I have never had an issue with one of these triggers, with any spring set. I have three in my ARs now. They are not "target triggers", but are light and crisp enough for very accurate fire with military style feel and dependability. Can't beat them.
Great Bang For The Buck
Great upgrade . Smooth trigger pull, very minor creep, crisp break, minimal reset. Price for all that AWESOME. Put this in a factory AR 10 that I purchased several yrs ago , now asking myself why I didn't do the upgrade sooner . Will definitely put this trigger in any of my new builds
