Chrome dust cover springs.
I've purchased lots of these chrome springs to replace all of the black one's in my ARs because mine are retro builds and it's the proper type for them. Plus they look better. I haven't had any issues with any of them. They're not stainless steel if you're interested in knowing. Thanks Brownells for offering them. Too bad they don't come standard with dust cover kits. I definitely recommend them if you're interested in the look of them.

Retro Silver Spring
I bought some of these in late 2024 and again in 2025, both times I received silver springs. The ones I received were not straw colored, but a consistent silver. They are also the standard spring size, a few places, like BCM, ship silver springs that are shorter than normal and do not fill up the entire cutout in the port door.
Perfect for detail oriented retro AR builds.

Great value, The three I recieved look beter than the ones pictured. (uniformed color/coating).
Don't like them, shiny nickel finish..
IMHO, they just look wrong on a black gun... I prefer the black phosphate type.
