I like this unit
Ok, this will be a bit weird. This unit worked as advertised! You know? Range report. Firearm: AR15 pistols, one with an 8" barrel and one with a 10.5" barrel. These are for personal defense. Last night shot with lights out with IR type night vision, not hi end but functional. Did not interrupt the IR unit, no blackout! that is using an intensifier and no intensifier, 5 stars for the flash hider part of this unit. Today went for the critical aspects: No change in point of impact, good. No change in felt recoil, to me, but 556 don't recoil much anyway, so neutral. Here is the part I like, in a defensive situation I wouldn't worry about hearing protection. This unit advertises that the sound goes more downrange than back. Today the hearing protection came off for that test, It works, it is not a suppressor more of a deflector. The sound is manageable for the shooter, that was my primary reason for buying this, 5 stars! I am ordering another one so both my defensive weapons have their own. Pistol or SBR without a suppressor, you should try one of these, worked for me. Hope this helps. Oh, it looks heavy, its not, 2 piece design and mostly empty.
