Cant Go Wrong With BCM
Ive purchased 2 BCM lowers from Brownells for pistol builds. The shipping was LIGHTNING fast in both instances and, as always, Im very satisfied with the BCM lowers. I purchased a few of these lowers from another vendor previously, for a higher price, and I had to wait FOREVER for the to get to me. Ill exclusively be getting them from Brownells from now on. I highly recommend these BCM lowers as well as getting them from Brownells!
Second to none
I was extremely impressed when I first picked this lower up out of the box. The fit and finish was second to none, without a single flaw. I've only seen DD M4s, Noveske ARs, and HK MR556A1s with such a high quality construction. The lock up to my BCM Mk12 upper was perfect (it isn't staying on that upper, it was just to test it) and had zero play, even on my HK MR556A1 uppers, no play. I'll be using this as a self defense/tactical rifle build I'm copying a service M4A1 SOCOM with all BCM parts (upper, lower, barrel, bolt and carrier, and grip). The stock was very well built and solid, no wiggle or play whatsoever, though I did change it out for a CTR as I prefer the CTR looks wise, though interestingly the BCM stock has less play than a CTR locked to the receiver--literally no play. The Nickel trigger group is extremely crisp and breaks very reliably and consistently. It's also lighter than a mil-spec group, right around 5 lbs. Looks wise, the roll marks are very militaristic, and very professional looking. It adds to the looks of the weapon. The finish is spot on, with no blemishes, and no miscoloring. The end plate is their QD end plate, and works as expected. The castle nut is properly staked in two places, much better than most manufacturers. It also includes a H weight buffer, so it is heavier than a standard carbine buffer, which lends itself to a more reliably functioning rifle. All parts fit tight and function flawlessly, and all mags I tested drop free (D&H, Magpul M3, Lancer, and Colt). This is truly a premium lower for a premium build. If you're looking for a truly top shelf factory lower for a high end build, or you want a BCM lower to pair with your BCM upper, I wouldn't recommend anything else. There ARE lowers in the same quality range as this one for direct gas impingement designs, such as Noveske and Daniel Defense, but there aren't lowers that are better, especially with a factory trigger that's as good as this one, and good luck finding those brands of lowers.
Not the prettiest but impeccable qualty
Extremely well built, better than mil-spec. A friend of mine is a big Spikes fan as I am too. The Spikes is better looking but AR's are battle weapons and this is one bad lower!!! BCM is also a phenomenal company. Their customer service is second to none! Buy one of their uppers for a spectacular rifle system and get a nice American made hat!
Trigger sucks and overpriced.
Bought this with a BCM upper to have a complete build. The trigger is a 6 1/2lb single stage trigger which is not very good in my opinion. That and the high price seems like this lower is not a very good deal. You pay for the BCM name.
Bad shipping experience
I know for a fact its a great product, but im now waiting an extra 3 days to get it instead of normal ground shipping,, i just feel that it should be brownells responsibility to ensure the product arrives on time, as ordered but over all great product customer support was very nice and willing to explain whats needed.
