Criterion stainless steel match grade button rifled barrels feature a 223 Wylde chamber and 1-8" twist for enhanced accuracy potential with both .223 and 5.56 NATO ammunition. Each Criterion barrel is individually hand-lapped to ensure smooth, consistent lands and grooves. Gas ports are optimized for barrel length and chambering to help ensure reliable cycling. Bull contoured stainless steel barrels incorporate an 11° target crown and barrel extensions featuring M4 feed ramps to aid in smooth, reliable feeding. Barrels now feature a dimple opposite the gas port, so screw-on gas blocks do not shift during firing.

excellent barrel

I bought this barrel about six months ago and finally got out to use it. I have to say I was pretty impressed with it right out of the box and no break in. let me state also that I only shoot a couple of times a year and am by no means a great shooter. but this barrel worked great and was pretty accurate after I got the scope sighted in. the scope has 1/8th adjustments so I went slow and walked them up to the bullseye. and all the ammo used was just cheap bulk ammo. and all the good benches at the range were taken so I had to make do with a real short bench (see photo) I hope to get back into varmint shooting next year when I retire.

Good Barrel

Fit and Finish was great! Fit very tight in Anderson Upper. Used a Bravo complete BCG and headspace is spot on. the accuracy came in with factory loads at a 150 rds. My hand load using 23.9 gr Varget, 69 gr Sierra HPBT, FC 556 case OAL at the max my Mag will allow of 2.280 shot at 100 yds off Bipod produce fantastic results. Pics added. My only Con is I can feel the gas port when I run cleaning patches. I suspect the bullet feels it as well. Brownells Support for Questions I had was Fantastic!

Quality

Good quality barrel. Swapped this into a DMR build and it will easily produce sub 1/2 MOA groups at 100-200 yards.

Excellent barrel

Bought the barrel for a competition AR15 I built and it did not disappoint. Very accurate, can easily put several shots touching at 100 yards.
