AR-15 BROWNELLS WRENCHMAN® PRECISION HANDGUARDS M-LOK Reviews & Ratings
A Nice Looking and Easy to Install
The installation of the handguard was easy. I followed the steps shown in the Brownells video. I like its looks on my AR. The handguard is well made. I downgraded one star and checked Flimsy Design on the 'Cons' because I think the alignment tool is flimsy. It did not want to seat properly on the barrel nut nor the front end of the picatinny rail. It appeared that the profile of the picatinny rail did not match the alignment tool. A little care with the wrench on the barrel nut and the alignment came out good without that tool. I think the alignment tool would work a little better if it encompassed the entire circumference of the barrel nut.
Nice hand guard at a nice price
It went on easy. It looks great. Only thing I would add is integral quick disconnect sling mounts.
Solid Handguard for $110-120
Solid handguard, very nice barrel nut/attachment system and extremely rigid/sturdy, as advertised. Only gripe: would like a couple extra QD slots.. Comparable to Midwest industries Gen III or Atlas R-one from aero - but has an Arca-Swiss attachment. Owning both of those handguards, I can say the barrel nut is better: more rigidity in handguard + no need for Armorers wrench (great for someone just starting out building).
Don't Bother
The 15 inch one worked and looked great until the barrell nut split when moving to a different AR. Wasn't even torqued to spec when it broke. This is made by someone else for Brownells and getting a replacement nut was impossible.
