AR-15 BCMGUNFIGHTER CHARGING HANDLE GEN 2 BLACK

AR-15 BCMGUNFIGHTER CHARGING HANDLE GEN 2 BLACK Reviews & Ratings

The original BCMGunfighter AR-15 charging handle was a massive improvement over the spindly standard "mi-spec" handle. And now BCM introduces their Gen 2 charging handle - improved, upgraded, and refined over the already excellent original. One key difference is that you no longer need to worry about breaking the pivot pin when you have to put some “oomph” on the handle. Redesigned geometry takes the stress off the latch pin and redirects it into the far stronger T-handle itself. The result is a straighter pull that keeps the energy closer to the centerline of the rifle, so you don’t twist the handle, risking a break, especially when operating the charging with your supporting hand. The BCMGunfighter Gen2 Charging Handle also has a redesigned shield that prevents gas from blowing back into your face when you’re running your rifle suppressed. Beveled edges optimize the contours of the handle for an easy to grasp, snag-free profile.

  • Fits all mil-spec direct impingement AR-15 upper receivers
  • Snag-free Mod 3B and Mod 4B configurations (described below)
  • Robust forged 7075 T6 aluminum construction
  • Mil-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2 hardcoat anodized for enhanced surface strength
  • NOT compatible with adjustable gas keyed bolt / carrier groups

The BCMGunfighter Gen 2 AR-15 charging handle offers a larger hand engagement surface than a mil-spec handle coupled with a smaller silhouette. It’s available in Mod 3B (large latch) and Mod 4B (medium latch) configurations. Either way, it is sure to improve the reliability, ease of operation, and yes, looks of your AR-15.

Excellent
Only charging handle I use in my duty rifles. Never had an issue in 15 yrs.

Perfect for my use
I have several of the old style and they work great. This new version feels and looks even better. Sticks out just enough to be functional with an LPVO

Runs like a scalded dog!
My go-to choice, have installed on every AR upper build I've done thus far, including 556 and 9mm. Big pluses: The product quality is consistently high; I know I can just install it and start pulling the trigger. The price to value ratio is the best on the market. I hear those who have complained about the re-sizing without notice. Hasn't been a big deal for me, but notice would have been good. .

Large Latch is GOOD
I was concerned the extended latch might be a problem when carrying with a 2 point sling but it isn't. I own another BCM Gunfighter and have it on a different AR. I have used it for over a decade and it is strong and straight. It is a medium latch and I think I prefer the large one I just bought for a new AR for ease of operation. Why look for anything else?

Charging Handle
This product performed as advertised. Precise fit, advance operation and a robust construction.

Well Built, Prefer Others
This is well built and more solid than a standard Milspec charging handle. It is an upgrade to mil spec but not by much as for function and fell. I have since tried the Geissle and sadly now will be replacing 3 BCMs for a smoother handle that includes a high shelf to mitigate gas,

Fits & works - Light & strong
I should have purchased the ambidextrous handle - and I didn't grade this handle down due to my mistake. Finish is great, unit is built perfectly and is light + Strong. Zero issues. Will stay with BCM parts in the future.

Old medium and new med isnt the same.
The old version and the new ones sizes are different. Large isnt large and medium isnt medium. If I superimposed the medium latch over a standard charging handle it would be essentially the same size. My old medium latch is longer then the medium one I bought to replace it. I see that this can be complicated on both BCMs end and Brownells, but I feel there needs to be some clarification on this. But the product itself is great. No operation issues nor function issues. Like usual BCM makes a solid product.

BMC charging handle
Found it to be well constructed, replacing the one I had in an upper that I had purchased, was considerably less workmanship and quality. I'm pleased with my purchase functions well, no fitment problems.
4
Pricey for a non-ambi handle
I had purchased an earlier, ambidextrous version of this handle and thought it was pretty good, if a bit clunky. But the back is supposed to be thick to channel gasses away from your face if you shoot suppressed so it's functional. I thought $80 was too much to pay for another ambi version, so I bought this left side release only version, but I don't like it as much, and I wouldn't buy one again for $50.
