Works very well, but a caveat
This loader works perfectly with the Magpul PMAG 30's I have. Fits snugly and allows quick reloads of 10 rounds at a time. BUT BE AWARE that it will not work with the Magpul D60 drum magazine, unless you modify this loader. That will void the warranty, I'm sure, but cutting out a small section of the side will allow the D60's load gate lower arm to swing out as needed. This is easily done if you are handy with small cutting tools (and measure carefully) and would not affect its use on regular mags nor weaken it. I still definitely recommend this product.
works great
Works great! Directions are not the clearest, but I figured it out. Have arthritis and this make loading magazines easy.
Great Product
I have both the electronic loader and this manual one both great products. I'll use the manual loader for my drums I have. The last few rounds are tough to install.
Universal magazine loader
Great product easy to use, works like charm!
Easy Loader
I was shown a Magpul loader in my gun store and put off buying it as I wasnt ready then. Well when the buying frenzy came around March 2020 I had just purchased an AR 15 and thought I would get a loader for the 30 round magazine. All gone no one had any in stock for the foreseeable future. Going through Brownells I ran across this Butler Creeks model that was available so I bought it. Loads very easy and precise, what a thumb saver. Glad now the Magpul was out of stock.
New to AR-15
Being completely new to the AR-15 I felt I needed a magazine loader to make the experience better. After a good bit of research, I found this one. There are several out there that might be quicker but are also pricier. The versatility this unit provides is exactly what I was looking for. From single, rounds to strippers, it does them all. After I've had some experience using it I will do an update.
good for single round loading
Works well for single round loading, but keeping the rounds straight enough to load stacked prove challenging. stripper clip function works ok.
