Crisp positive movement
The detents on this safety selector are crisp and absolute. Theres no soft spot or sloppy movements. With one selector lever being longer its easy to setup for strong side use and still be able to operate with non dominant hand. The longer side(still standard length) is a little obtrusive but manageable when using off handed. However extended use may cause irritation to the gripping hand. Having 2 shorter levers would make this less of an issue.
My Favorite
Does not get in the way of my trigger finger, but is easy to put on safe with the trigger finger. After break-in, it is very smooth.
Excellent quality!
This product was easy to install and works very well. It gives the choice of either the standard length or longer length lever on either side. I installed the longer length lever on the right side of the gun to flip with my thumb since I am left handed. It came with no installation instructions. Before I ordered it, I looked on YouTube to see how difficult the installation would be. I followed the instructions and it works fine. You need to have some blue medium strength Loctite for the screws that hold the levers in place. I use Guntite. I ordered the red color to make the safety stand out. I use this gun for hunting at night.
Works great for me
Mine works great. Clicks are hard, but after getting used to it I now prefer that over the sloppy feeling regular(mil spec, commercial, blah blah) ones Ive used. If it matters, Im a gunsmith and the construction of this seems well made to me. Know how to switch out a safety, have a lower and trigger that arent junk, and use common sense.... should work like mine does(great).
Works great for me
It installed easily, I like the positive grip texture (maybe to rough for some), firmly snaps into position. Price is the down point of product and being RED a high point remember for safety.
Sharp!
Boy, the corner of the long arm is sharp! It is very easy to install either 60 deg throw or 90 deg throw (if you just think about where the detent needs to be). But if you put it at 60 degrees, and you thumb the short arm, the pointy corner of the long arm will be right in the nuckle of your trigger finger. It's easy enough to switch the arms, to put the long arm on your thumb side. But if you're sharing the rifle with someone who is opposite-handed, they will get the sharp corner in the nuckle. Armaspec has a 45/90 ambi switch that looks rounder. But I haven't tried it yet.
Did not use
Would not function properly with selector detent. It would catch therefore I did not use this.
Will Not Install
Selector switch would not install into the receiver. Tried two receivers, would not install in either.
