Works well
It has worked well so far. I have used it on 2 different rifles so far. I haven’t needed to use the set screws but will keep the unit from falling out if you hit the mag release out of muscle memory.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
My 3rd one and works great
I have used three of these conversions in my AR 15s. feeds well worked with three different receivers. had one hiccup with ETS mags not fully locking in place, made a slight adjustment with the adapter position and they work fine. Would recommend. work with ETS and OEM Glock mags just fine.
Stern Defense 9mm Magazine adaptor
A very well built product, sold at a great price and shipped out quickly. You can't ask for more than that. It works perfectly.
Stern defense 9mm adapter
Installed easily and runs great! Zero malfunctions in over 2k rounds of ammunition. Ammunition ranges from light target loads, nato 9mm and various carry hollow points
Absolutely Fantastic
I'm the picture you see in the dictionary when you look up "pessimist." I'd seen a couple of these in use at the club I belong to, and was fairly impressed. After getting an up close look, the materials and quality of construction struck me as being very good. I had long been considering milling out yet another AR lower, this one just for the 9mm, but from what I'd seen, I wouldn't get a last-round hold-open feature, and that was a deal buster for me, even though it's not that big a deal. Lots of guns don't have it. Since I already had two complete lower assemblies on hand, and no uppers for them, I took the plunge and ordered this one. Brownell's blew me away by how fast they delivered it, along with a Glock-compatible 9mm bolt. Simple and foolproof to install, I headed to the range, thinking I might've made a mistake. It's been two weeks, nine range trips, and 3,200 rounds later, it's performed flawlessly. No discernible wear or tear, even though I was worried about that due to the thin, seemingly fragile bolt hold-open lever. No, sir. That part is rugged and durable. I even applied pressure on the magazines at time, trying to see if I could induce a malfunction. Not a bobble, not one hiccup. And the beauty is, I can pop the unit out, and have it ready in seconds for the .223/5.56, .300 BLK, 6.5mm Grendel, or any other upper I already have. This was money very well spent, and not only am I planning to buy another one in 9mm, I'm thinking of getting a .45 ACP unit as well!
well made but..
Well made adapter.the mag release looks like it should afford more bite into the magazine's retention slot..but I also could be seeing things. It appears to work well.the 2 screws on the bottom may be overkill as the mag release holds it vertically and the single gib retention takes out all the play. Will not work on my billet lower because trigger guard is too thick..so I returned it.
Stern Defense Glock
Great product and very strong
works great
Paired with a Stern upper and using P320 mags. Have had zero malfunctions since day it came out of the box. Love the last round hold open. Still getting used to the mag release position but if you accidently hit the ar mag realse it doesn't come out of position, maybe something they have updated based on past reviews I've seen.
It works
I have a PSA upper 9mm and a standard PSA multi cal lower, install is easy works as it should I would recommend this adapter much cheaper way rather than buying a complete AR9 set up, keep in mind if you want to use a KCI drum mag it will only insert if the bolt is held back, but it still functions Great
Great product well made
Works great, fits easy, installs very nice, any down fall is that the item is pricey, had plenty of 556 lowers so thought I would try something different works great but theres know savings, 9 mm lower cost 125.00 dollars these are 180.00 then if you have to add the cost of your lower which I had some anderson one piece forged lowers 35.00 set up works great and if you were to use from one gun to another might be worth it, in my case it will stay on 9mm but its very nice and something different!
