Awesome product and service
Amazing product. The only thing is loading it fast enough to shoot. It is well built and fun to shoot without reloading. I will be purchasing more in the near future. Brownells is an awesome company.

Great Fun
Purchased one of these to see how it would perform. I have shot thousands of rounds through it and have only had one failure to feed. This was do to me loading it to fast and I missed a round in the "slots" of the drum. It has a very tight spring which makes it a little difficult to load, but this stiff spring makes sure a round gets chambered even under rapid fire. Is an absolute blast, highly recommend.

Saw in video and wanted
This has the cool factor kind of like the drum on my Tommy Gun but a lot cheaper to feed. It took a learning curve on how to load, read instructions and go one at a time. I dont know how long it will last, but videos online seem like they have a good lifespan. I will be buying another one.

Very well built
Very happy with how this works. I used it with my CMMG 22 conversion and had no issues. Also its very easy to load.

something wacky?
as i was loading the magazine, when i pulled counterclockwise on the winder with my thumb, i guess i did it too quickly, or something? the dummy rounds are now spaced apart in two places! one space is a one-round empty chamber and the other is two empty rounds! so now the overall capacity is only 47 rounds, not 50! i guess it will still work, but i shouldn't be taking apart a brand new magazine, in order to fix a problem like this!

Well made, good fit, reliable
I have tested both the 1022 and AR15 .22 conversion kit drum magazines made by Black Dog. They are well designed, very reliable with the right ammunition primarily CCI and Federal brands. One area that needs to be addressed however is the magazine lips. Since this is an ultra-hi capacity magazine, it is subjected to wear and stress twice as much than a regular 25 or 30-shot magzines of polymer construction. In all fairness to budget minded consumers who may not afford to buy a few to rotate, a steel or aluminium drum tower should be incorporated rather than plastic. If this is accomplished, I will give it a 5+ star rating as long as they keep the price tag under $100.
