disappointing
the magazines look great, but every few shots a round would pop out of the magazine and cause a double feed, this happened about 8 times in 50 rounds. $60 for a non functioning magazine is pretty disappointing, ill just be using these for display instead.
Not what I expected.
....well it looks pretty cool in my BRN-605.. but its entirely disappointing. The parkerization is just terrible (Ive parkerized steel myself and it looks much better than this) finish is described as matte black parkerization it is, however, basically in the white. The park is coarse and blotchy and will be immediately rusty if not kept in a heavier grease. Its a shiny silver color.. Mag is of a thicker gauge steel than the retro waffle 20, but seems quite out of spec. Tabs retaining floor plate are wildly different sizes. Doesnt feed well, cartridges have a generous amount of side to side wiggle in a loaded mag which Ive never experienced in an AR mag. They also hang up on the front of the mag when charging. Never been so disappointed in a Brownells backed/manufactured product.
