Night and day difference
This trigger takes a bit of set up and grinding to work but it is well worth the effort. I have only worked on a few trigger groups before and had no trouble installing this one,the factory components in my Riley Defense RAK47 were about as smooth as the surface of the moon, this group yielded a very smooth and predictable 3lb13oz pull weight that is very crisp and short. I highly recommend this trigger to anybody shopping that has a bit of DIY skills.
Great Upgrade
I installed this on my Arsenal milled receiver and no fitting was required. Make sure to use the supplied thread locker after adjustment to the desired settings.
PROFESSIONAL'S CHOICE
I've been a full-time Gunsmith for over 19 years and this is the best performing AK trigger I've installed. You can spend more money on a fantasy name, but you will be hard pressed to get better performance when installed properly. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's directions if you install it yourself or contact a licensed gunsmith if you need help.
Sweet
Very nice two stage trigger. Dropped right in my Milled Arsenal Bulgarian SLR-95 with no modifications. Also used the power custom crook. Have not adjusted it yet and honestly may not.
SIMPLY AMAZING!! SUB 4LB
Bought 2 one for my PSL, one for Saiga-12 922r conversion. Grab your dremmel tool buffer, or strop and polish the sear surfaces and its so buttery smooth its hard to believe its a AK! (I own a python so I have a good idea) fully hardened you can polish quite a bit won't hurt it like a cheap AR trigger. Does need safety lever filing/grinding fitting this is normal. Hammer needs one side ground for BHO clearance also normal. I had to grind a bit of the very top most triangled part of the trigger barely doesn't clear the bolt carrier. Cheap trigger scale broke at 3.5lbs two stage consistently. Adjustments work great. Can be a little confusing but there is a order to adjust them in, hint: read instructions. no finger slap whatso ever! Make sure and loctite so disconnector doesnt disco. Could go 2 rnd burst ;b.. btw red star arms is also power customs/grandmasters so you know its good. Go get it.
Everything I wanted!
With a little bit of trial and error I got exactly what I wanted for a trigger in my AK. For me, I wanted a 4 pound two stage trigger because of what I use it for, but the beauty of it is that it can be whatever you want it to be. The only advice I have is to make sure you follow the instructions advice on what to adjust first
Take a bit of work, but great performanc
The trigger came in a terrible shape. All gunk up with dry lube and mold. It looks like it's been sitting in a warehouse for a decade. But once cleaned and oiled, the parts look alright. Trigger is definitely NOT drop in for my Arsenal or Romanian AK. The safety lever needs quite a bit of dremeling before it would even rotate into place. And I had to spend about 30 minutes tweaking and testing before the system would correctly lock the hammer back and reset. But once you get there, it's definitely provide a significant improvement over the stock trigger. I have it set to about a 4lbs pull.
Excellent trigger, with a catch...
I installed this in a Saiga 308 while doing 922r conversion. Some material had to be removed to accommodate the factory bolt hold open mechanism, but that is unique to Saigas. The adjustments are great and you can set up the rifle for a variety of preferences. I give it 4 stars only because it does require some wiggling and manipulating to take the bolt out unless you want to undo your adjustments. Customer's only complaint is that it is not as easy as stock AK take-down. There is a chance that this won't be the case on your rifle; I simply have to pull the trigger slightly to get the bolt all the way back to be removed. I am buying the second one here shortly. No regrets.
