Exceeded my expectations
1/2" version was out of stock for 7 weeks since I placed a back order. I went with smaller diameter in case my recessed crown going to be in the way with a larger cutter, I didn't want to cut unnessary metal and it was the right choice. I have a lathe but with Handi Rifle barrels the metal mounting stub is in the way so hesitantly I placed an order, thinking its going to leave chatter marks. I made my own pilot and used pin gauges to measure my barrel muzzle, it was more snug fit at .3015" while stock pilot is .300". The other end of the pilot is .190". For handle I used a scrap piece of aluminum I had laying around, drilled and tapped for 1/4-20. The result impressed me! No chatter marks and very smooth cut!

11 degree cutter
Worked as described, very sharp , easy crowning. I used it to crown a 9mm pistol barrel with the recommended pilot. DlC coating must be sanded off or any other hard finish on the muzzle. Thank you customer service for your help.

79* Crowning cutter
Last outing my Savage 6.5 CM rifle would not group. Was getting 2-3" pattern at 100yrds. Inspected rifle and found a damaged crown. I knew Brownell's would have a solution. Ordered the 1/2" 79* Crowning Cutter, a 6.5mm brass pilot, and the drill adapter. Everything arrived USPS within just a few days.
I chucked up the cutter and pilot they all fit together like they should and ran straight. I cut at very slow speed with cutting oil and used old toothbrush to remove metal flakes. Sharing a picture taken with my borescope while it's not the best picture you can still see the crown is very clean, crisp, straight, and this should bring the accuracy back. Very happy to recommend this product. I have other rifles and will likely get a few more pilots so they can also get fresh cut crowns too.

Perfect crowns
I had a grinding ball before and this cutter is superior to any grind ball to do barrel crowns.
Easy to use
Did exactly what it was intended to do. My rifle had started expanding from its original.5 MOA avg, with a new crown I shot five groups averaging just under .5 MOA!
Perfect Tool
Well made and perfect tool to crown a barrel after cutting it.

Great tool
I just received the 90, 45, & 79/11 degree cutters. They all worked flawlessly.
