The Aimpoint® 3X-C was developed for the civilian end user, and can be used in conjunction with all Aimpoint® sights for long-range aiming or observation. A variable (-2 to +2) dioptric setting allows this magnifier to be adapted to the individual shooter’s eye. The 3X-C can also be used as a handheld 3X monocular. Aimpoint magnifiers utilize the red dot in Aimpoint sights as the aiming reticle, eliminating the need for re-zeroing when shifting between non-magnified and magnified aiming. The 3X-C is encased in a shock absorbing protective rubber cover that also creates an ideal ergonomic grip. Internal optical adjustments make aligning the magnifier and sight quick and easy.

Great Value

This is a great magnifier for the money. FOV is great, and adjustment screws are flathead so they don't move on their own like others. 30mm tube allows use with different types of mounts. I use this every day on patrol, highly recommended magnifier.

High Quality

Aimpoint 3x is a great optic. I bought this 3-ex "fixed" and a Lucid 2x - 5x adjustable. The Aimpoint has a wider field of vison and longer eye relief area. At a supposed 5x magnification for the Lucid, it had less magnification than the Aimpoint, about half the width of vision and less clarity. You have a hard time getting your eye into the field of vision with the Lucid as the eye relief is a tiny area. Aimpoint is more expensive however you clearly get what you pay for. Combined with an Aimpoint red dot and flip mounted scope, you have a very good optical system.

my own fault

getting the right mounts after talking to brownells and aim point never did find right mounts and life to short to keep trying so off to the junk box it goes lesson learned
