30MM CANTILEVER SCOPE MOUNT

The Brownells AR-15 Cantilever Scope Mount is a true one-piece scope mounting solution for your AR-type "Modern Sporting Rifle." It positions the scope forward to give you plenty of eye relief, while it elevates the scope high enough for a comfortable head position and plenty of clearance for the objective bell. Machined from a solid billet of 6061 T6 aluminum, our AR-15 Cantilever Scope Mount is lightweight, strong, and rigid. A pair of hardened steel 1/2" hex nuts provide tremendous locking force to ensure your mount - and the scope attached to it - stays in place. Remove the mount/scope unit from the rifle and reinstall it with little-to-no shift in the scope’s zero.

Scope mount.

Haven't mounted it yet. Well made and finished. I would really like to see one made in 34 mm. I have been looking for one but most are 20moa and not zero.

Made in the USA

This is a solid made in the USA scope mount for only a few dollars more then some of the Chinese options out there. I like the 1/2" screw nuts much better than hex or torx head screws because everyone has a half inch socket or even and adjustable wrench handy. I just ordered my 2nd one of these.

Excellent Product

When I read the questions about this product I was a little concerned. I decided to buy six of these based on the description from Brownells. They have a good reputation so I trusted in that and they have a money back guarantee. When I got the mounts the first thing I did was check the ring mounts on all of them. They are all threaded well and screws installed and tightened down. The metal is very high quality and appears to be very strong and well engineered. The base is solid and the bolts that hold it to the rail are robust. For the price this looks to be an excellent deal. I wanted a mount that I could put on and remove and put another scope on and have them hold zero.It looks as if this mount can do that. Excellent solid mount.

well built - wouldn't fit my scope

I bought this mount to mount a Hi-Lux XTC14x34 to my service rifle. Unfortunately the distance between the caps was to large to fit my scope. Returned for credit.

Not Aligned; May crush scope

Torqued a Vortex strike eagle as per specs. Cap bolts were tightened iteratively in a diagonal fashion up to 17 inch-pounds. Scope then because blurry at anything past 6x. After triple checking everything, I removed the scope from the mount and found the scope slightly crushed on the front tube. I lapped the mount to see if the mount had an issue. The front cap was misaligned pretty bad. You can see where the lapping took off material from the front cap but nowhere else. This was a first pass. It took a lot more work to get this mount aligned. Luckily - Vortexs warranty was awesome and they fixed for free. But Brownells wouldnt take the mount back - not even for a Quality Control check (this was before I lapped it). Lap this mount before using it or youll be rolling the dice.
