308 AR BOLT CARRIER GROUPS

The Brownells Complete .308 Bolt Carrier Group is designed to operate reliably in DPMS LR-308 pattern rifles chambered in .308, .243, 7mm-08, .338 Federal, .260 Remington, 6.5mm Creedmoor, or any other cartridge based on the .308 Winchester. These BCGs are manufactured to the same uncompromising standards as our M16-style BCGs. Our Complete .308 Bolt Carrier Group has a bolt machined from robust 9310 steel, heat-treated and shot-peened for superb hardness. The carrier itself is fabricated from hardened 8620 steel. Both are magnetic particle inspected (MPI) to make sure there are no hidden microscopic flaws that could lead to premature failure.

Carrier has forward assist notches
Extractor is installed with rubber insert and spring
Gas key screws are torqued and staked
For use in DPMS LR-308 pattern upper receivers only; NOT compatible with Armalite rifles

You can get the Brownells Complete .308 Bolt Carrier Group with a hard Black Nitride finish that is exceptionally resistant to surface wear OR a Nickel Boron coating (a dull matte silver) that’s even harder and self-lubricating to boot. Both come complete with firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, cam pin, gas rings, gas key, extractor, and ejector installed. Brownells GunTech™ Note: Unlike BCGs with a traditional Parkerized finish, the carrier on our Black Nitride bolt carrier group is not hard-chromed inside because Nitride is actually harder than industrial chrome plating.

Just what I was looking for.

I chose this Nitride BCG because I wanted a bolt with a .070" firing pin hole and the appropriate diameter firing pin. That's it. If it didn't, I would have returned it and looked elsewhere. The fact that it's identical to my Aero Precision BCG without the logo, that much better. I just wish Brownell's would have listed the above specs in the description.

Great BCG for the Money

What a great product, lot of people don't like to finish color of nickel boron even though it's a little harder than black nitrited steel. I would highly recommend it I feel like you're getting a lot for the money it works really well great quality steel made in USA.

Affordable BCG

Great product, priced right for LR308 budget build.

6.5 Creedmore BCG

Nice looking. Have not fired it yet. Purchased a second one. That one is lost in shipping. Still waiting for customer service to figure it out. Own several in nitride, I went with the nickel coated for $20 more this time. I own several of Brownells BCGs. No issues.

308AR Bolt Carrier Group 308 Win Nickel

Purchased two of them, one to use with a bargain priced 308 barrel and one with a higher-end 6.5 Creedmore barrel. Seem to be quality materials that fit and function well in each rifle. I like the finish. Both bolts head-spaced well in the high-end Creedmore Barrel, but not in the bargain 308 barrel. Had to use a different bolt to properly head space in the bargain priced 308 barrel.

Great BCG for the money

What can I say? I received, I put it in my 308 build and it has worked flawlessly since. I havent used it extensively yet but so far I am very pleased.

Bought for M&P 10 Barrel Swap

Bought a 22" Criterion barrel to replace the stock 18" pencil barrel and came to find out the SW Bolt was proprietary to their barrel extension and thank god Brownells had this in stock. After reading the reviews it was higher priced than other people had paid for it 2 years ago but I needed it in a pinch. Plain and simple, it works and passed headspace. No slop in the upper. It was made for DPMS style rifles and MP10 is DPMS at least in that dept. Also it looks to be a rebranded Aero Precision BCG or at least its identical for those that are wondering. Bottom line is it's solid and fit perfect in an aftermarket extension. Unlike the 1 star reviews shown here, it did not damage, mar or shave any brass from the case rim.

First 308 Build

Great BCG! Ran a few rounds and checked things out and was still flawless. Very pleased with the quality, price and functionality. I will be using more products from Brownells in the short future!

These nickel boron coated BCG's work flawlessly in my Aero Precision M5 pistol and rifle builds. I definitely recommend these to anyone building a 308.
