ROBUST AND PRECISE
These dies are as high quality as you can get. Heavier construction than most. There are pros and cons to each makers die sets. These RCBS carbide pistol dies are my favorite for pistol loading. They usually come with 2 seater plugs. Sometimes the plug that fits the bullet best in your hands doing a mock up is not the best for seating. Try the other if you are experiencing OAL problems.
Excellent die set
Who knows what Bobby from NC is talking about. I have owned this set and have successfully seated thousands of 9mm rounds with it. Great set!
Brownells doesn't play games !
With all the insanity of the last four months( world ending, weapons prices and goverment mass buying of ammo) Brownells has not raised thier prices and are still able to deliver product where their competitores have failed. Looking for 40 S&W reloading dies was getting me nowhere . When I was talking to my brother on the phone he assumed that I'd tried Brownells, the silence on my end must have spoken loudly. At 55 yrs old my older brother still calls me dummy. I'm not waiting for the dies to get here to right this review , I know they'll be right.
My Recommendation for Beginners
I always recommend the RCBS 3 Die Carbide set to those starting out in reloading. They do the job extremely well for a great price. The Lee set is also very nice, but I don't like the lock rings and recommend this one over it for that reason. At the same time I also recommend something like the Redding competition seating die (or Forster Ultra for a rifle) and take the plug out of the set to use as a separate crimp die.
perfect die set
I'm using several RCBS die sets, for handgun and rifle. This carbide set is easy to install, adjust and use. I lube every case, but it isn't necessary. The produced cartridges are very consistent in overall length, with the preferred crimp. With this set you can make the best ammo for your handgun.
Nice die set
This 3 piece die set is solid and well made. Carbide dies are not as strong as steel, but you don't need to lube the cases. Bit of a trade off. The case is solid and keeps the dies safe when not in use.
No exciting package Ive had delivered
I dont think I have been more excited in my whole life when I found the dies. Only thing that got me was they had been opened before they were sent which I found was odd but they were all there. Delivery was super fast!

Will not resize brass to SAAMI specs.
Will not work for 9mm Luger
Excellent Dies for the price. Only down side is the seater plugs provided don't work for 9mm Luger bullets. It begs the question, why would you provide seater plugs that wont work on Luger bullets in a Luger die set? After research and contacting RCBS, they will sell you plugs that work or make you plugs for $17.95 a set. The plugs provided work for 9x18, .380, 38 special, .357 mag, .32 auto and any other .356'ish bullet WITHOUT a sharp point such as 9mm Luger has. If you use the plugs provided they will seat your bullet crooked and flatten the tip. I would not try to fire a round in this condition.
