Superior Quality

I use the 55gr almost always. Primarily for my firearm safety / marksmanship classes. However, I wouldn't hesitate to use these for hunting or precision / competitive shooting. Accuracy is VERY good with a 20" barrel with twist rates between 1:7 through 1:12. I admit I haven't tried beyond 500 yards but see no reason they wouldn't be consistent far beyond that. Obviously they also perform well out of 16" 1:7 / 1:9 barrels but those are limited to personal use. There are less expensive projectiles available but the consistency is important for my use. They are affordable too. I highly recommend Hornady products!

Best price around when I ordered mine!

I'm a big Hornady fan. Their bullets run really well in everything I handload for. These 55 FMJ's are no exception. My go-to accurate 55gr load is with the V-max's, but these FMJ's are plenty accurate for inside 300 yards on humanoid sized targets out of everything from 16" carbine to 10" ar pistols. I load them in mixed brass on top of 27gr CFE223.

Great value, great product. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Have fired 77gr SMK, various military loads, and 55gr Remington. I am able to shot about a 4 inch group at 200 yds and 2 inch group at 100 yds with a Colt LE, 16 inch barrel.
