10-8 Performance
Fit, finish, and quality are as expected. A great battle sight that offers another cocking option if down to single-handed use.
it's W I D E !
This is a high quality sight that I have used on multiple platforms in the past. I had my gunsmith mill the notch wider on past sights and so ordered this one this time around. He had no trouble installing - just slightly oversized which is what you want. I knew ahead of time what I was in store for with that .156 notch since I was pairing the 10-8 rear with a Novak Mega-Dot. I have to resort to this type of arrangement because of my eyesight. It has worked out great for everything up close and out to 25 yards. But Accuracy really dropped off past that and I just have to accept that. So this is great for fast & close type of shooting but at distance it will be harder to be accurate.
Improves sight picture!
Easy to install on a Springfield Loaded 1911. The .140" wide U notch rear with the existing .125" front sight made for a substantially improved sight picture.
excellent rear sight
Sight went on with no fitting required on my Springfield and works very well with factory front night sight. I really like the serration on the rear of the sight, they help me focus on the front sight faster/easier. Very pleased with my purchase.
Outstanding rear sight
Extremely fast, clear, crisp sight picture. The sight fit right into the existing Novak cut. This sight coupled with a single dot up front yields and extraordinary sight picture that's dead-on. While it is a little pricey for a single rear, it's worth every penny. Would definitely buy again.
Excellent for duty use
Been using this sight on my duty gun for years. Many top shooters agree the U-notch rear sight offers tremendous speed without sacrificing accuracy potential at longer distances. This sight has a non-distracting, serrated rear face that gives a crisp and clean sight picture that is fast to pick up, especially when used with a gold bead or dot front sight. Machining is very clean, and the sight notch is relieved in all directions to reduce reflection and glare. The sight is made of hardened steel which has helped resist high velocity encounters with the edges of gun lockers. Try this sight. You won't be sorry.
Excellent Sight
I like how theyve done the ledge to aid in one handed slide racking. Also the U notch seems to help align the sights more naturally and the .140 notch seems to go perfect with a .125" front. Only thing that makes me wonder is the added cost to the wider notches.
