Made the job easy
Did a fantastic job of cleaning out the trigger track quickly and easily.

worked perfectly
I used this and a Ed Brown sear jig to do a trigger job on a RIA. I now have a trigger that breaks just under 3.5 pounds with a crisp short reset. The stone definitely smoothed out the grittiness.

irreplacable
Excellent value. I used most recently for a trigger job on a Rock Island double stack. The stone was great at removing all the burrs and casting imperfections in the RIA frame on the way to a smooth, crisp trigger. The file was appropriately sized to remove burrs and high points on the trigger shoe track, as well as the bow track. The stone is fine, so it won't remove huge burrs or take off too much material. The stone is fairly durable, so I had no issue applying pressure to get a good effect. I used with water after soaking for an hour.

Well worth it.
I have been shooting since I was 13 years old and have reached to the somewhat ripe age of 45. Recently I have begun amateur gunsmithing. I have two 1911's I have been working on and used the track stone to smooth out the trigger pull. The stone worked as advertised and then some. Along with other honed trigger parts, the trigger pull has not only smoothed immensely but have even lightened some from the process. Sharp corners and a fine grit allow for precise honing of the track. Well worth it!

Easy smoothing
Easy to use the stone is just the right size to do the trigger track. It does a nice job and if taken care of will be able to do many trigger tracks for you.

Great Tool
Picked this up to smooth out a gritty trigger pull in one of my 1911s. Extremely easy to use, fits right in the trigger track and smoothes out machine marks and burrs easily. I plan on using this on my other 1911 as well.

If you work on 1911s youneed this stone
Reducing trigger pull due rough trigger tracks easy to use and care for just follow the instructions. Wish I would have got one years ago. No negatives from me.

Can't do without!
Amazing results using this; tune & polish stirrup also for a silky smooth trigger pull. 3 "grits" (C,M&F) would be even greater; my 1911 had uneven surface in track that took a while to smooth.

Good stone
If you are going to be taking the time to stone your stirrup, you might as well work on the track too. I have used this on all of my trigger jobs and have been happy with the outcome. The trigger pull ends up silky smooth. Be careful as to not make too many passes or you will add stirrup slop. Too bad Brownells does not have this size of stone in a set of 3; rough, medium and fine..hint..hint..
