Fixed my Colt government original clip
I installed this in my new Colt 70 series clip that came with pistol with some ammo it would either jam with 2 rounds left or lock open with one round left and the last round would be on top of the mag not in it and this fixed it 100% and my clip still holds 7rnds it's tight but it does still hold all 7
Fixed issues with FTF in a Remington R1
I bought a used Remington R1 1911 that looked brand new. After I put a few magazines worth of ammo through it, I understood why it had been sold. The first one or two rounds would hang up in the chamber using stock magazines. Upgrading the mags using this spring and follower kit made all the difference, giving consistent results from the first round on. I cant recommend this kit highly enough.
a must for a colt officers model
I went to the range with the officers model and it worked 100%, with a couple of different style hand loaded semi-wadcutter lead bullets. That spring and follower solved the feeding problem that gun always had. I've only used hardball in that gun, now I can shoot anything, I'm real happy.

Very slick follower. Made my old unreliable mags useful again. Some of my 1911s would not function with flat nose bullets but since i installed this kit they all cycle fine.Good cheap way to solve magazine feeding problems.
Best upgrade for new or used mags.
These are great i used them to update some older springfield mags, there my new favorite.
Like new again
Completely revived three Kimber factory magazines that never fed very well to smooth, flawless feeding. The follower and spring were able to be installed from the top, working mags with welded floorplates. It truly did reduce the capacity of an 8 round mag to 7, but was definitely worth the improved function.
Perfect record so far
I have these installed in several different brands of magazines including KimPro Tac Mags, Springfield Armory's stock mags, Ruger's stock mags, etc. I have used them in 7 different 1911's with hardball, hydra shoks, and golden sabers and they have performed flawlessly. After the mags have been cycled an average of 72 times the springs lose a little bit of tension and the slide will no longer lock open. I bent the front of the top coil of the spring up a bit and the slide now locks back again and so far all mags are still going strong. Not one single failure to feed ever.
"Hybrid" follower tops them all
The perfect "cure" for those 8 rd flush fit mags that don't provide 100% reliability - or a great way to freshen up a 7 rd mag. The Tripp hybrid follower is the best follower money can buy - period. Combined with a premium spring, this kit is how you fix mags that are worn or having the occasional FTF issue.
Work great in kimber magazines
I'm surprised there are no reviews of the super 7 but the spring & follower are outstanding. I've been a competitive shooter both in the military & civilian and practice at least twice a week. These will work in either a 7 round or 8 round magazine in case you were wondering. I have 5 kimber stainless magazines and the spring was ready for replacement from use & I keep a couple loaded for self defense. I never liked the kimber spring or follower the springs were weak and caused a feeding issue from time to time especially during rapid fire. I put the super 7 kit in all 5 mags & have put three or four hundred rounds through all of them without a feeding problem & it's easier to load the mags with this kit too. I checked on the mags I keep loaded and after 8 months they are still strong so this is a great way to fine tune or keep that old kimber magazine running smooth.
I'm not sure if it will work in my 4.25
It's looking good and feeding quite well into the chamber. The secret is to keep the inside of the clip and the metal part of the magazine follower oiled and of course the super seven springs itself. It's extended for a reason, it's putting more pressure on those bullets to pop up in the chamber at the sacrifice of one but you can put one in the chamber and have 7+1 if it makes you feel better but it's a lot more reassuring all those bullets are gonna glide into and out of the barrel from that clip cause the extra pressure allowed from the lost bullet. I still haven't shot mine I must admit, I am going to shoot 50 to 100 factory rounds first to break it in but from keeping it loaded and cleaned I haven't had one malfunction with the new configuration.
