1911 GHOST REAR NIGHT SIGHT Reviews & Ratings

Streamlined, rugged, all-steel sight eliminates the top half of the conventional ghost ring but still directs the eye to naturally center on the front sight. A single Tritium dot is positioned directly below the aperture. Simple, wedge shape won't snag, and is less prone to damage if the pistol is dropped.

SPECS: Steel, blue, matte finish. 1911 requires milling of slide, use 65° x .495" dovetail cutter. Retrofits to pistols already equipped with Novak sights.

Simple to use

Thought I would give this a try on my 1911 since aging eyes need all the help they can get. Havent been to the range yet to see how well it works. Its on a defensive pistol so Im not worried about distance use. Using it with a fiber optic front sight. And as usual with most items, fitting required.

Best 1911 rear sight

Best 1911 rear sight I have ever used. Installed on two Ruger 1911 commanders .

Usable sights

The Novak 1911 ghost rear sight greatly enhances the ability to align the front sight on target. The point of aim and point of impact are spot on. Using a Dawson's Precision .170 tall by .100 wide front sight and you can gain better precision shots quicker. Just line up the front sight over the rear sight dot and press the trigger.

Next best thing to an XS 24/7 sight.

I have old eyes and the standard three-dot sights have always been frustrating for me to come on target with. I use XS sights on all of my Glocks for their simplicity and quickness on target. These sights work the same way- line up just two dots with plenty of field of vision and it just locks on for me.

If you looking for a rear sight that will allow you to pick up your front quickly then this is the one. Improves field of vision and still retains accuracy. Highly recommended
