Goes BANG like supposed to
Replaced the factory firing pin that was starting to annoy me with too many light strikes. Added this pin and replaced the spring with a lighter one, changed the mainspring to a Wilson Combat 23#, Wilson Combat 16# recoil spring and guide rod assembly, Wilson Combat Match grade trigger, a Wilson Combat sear spring. After a bit of fine tuning, it dropped my trigger pull from 6.5# down to a flat 2#.
The Only Firing Pin fit in Norinco NP29
After Mounth and mounth or research, I finaly found it!!!! This is the only Firing Pin who fit Drop in in the Norinco NP29 1911 in 9mm!!! I just kept the slide and the frame and customize this gun entierly but cannot find a good firing pin to drop in without work on..... The Ed Brown #825 fit perfectly and after 300 rounds, nothing is broken and no miss fire!!!!!
Fits Springfield .45 GI Mil-Spec
Following the advice of others with experience I used this 826 in my older SAI GI 45 that has a proprietary titanium firing pin. I installed this with Wolff springs as follows. Extra heavy firing pin spring 16# recoil spring 19# mainspring I also changed out the mainspring cap and added a MS cap retaining pin to do away with the Integral Locking System. All this reduced recoil and took the trigger pull from 5# to 4#
Range Officer Compact .45 Drop-In
A direct drop in replacement in my Springfield Range Officer Compact .45acp. Used it with the original Wolff XX Power firing pin spring and fired 100 rounds without issue. Solid primer strikes.
Drop-in, Good quality
Fits the SA 1911 V10 Ultra Compact 45ACP. Drop-in part, required no fitting and works great. I bought 2 since I had a difficult time finding them.
Improved primer strikes.
First of all I want to thank Brownells staff members for participating in the Q&A for these products, it really boosted my confidence that this would fix light primer strikes after some recent modifications were done to a circa 2000 Springfield 1911A1 .45 Auto. This steel pin was just a tiny bit tight in the slide but a few strokes with some 400 grit sandpaper made it drop in just like the titanium pin I took out. Have not had a chance to verify at the range but based on my new world record pencil launches I am pretty sure it will fix my issue.
#826 Ed Brown firing pin
I attempted to replace my SA 1911-A1 9mm and .45acp firing pins. After reading the description, reviews and answered questions I was convinced these would fit my SA 1911-A1pistols. Nope. Much too large diameter. I requested a RA # to return the firing pins for a refund. I will reorder OEM Springfield Armory pins that should fit like the originals. Otherwise, the Ed Brown firing pins look like they are made exceptionally well. They just didn't fit my pistols as stated by Brownells web site or the description on the Ed Brown packaging.
