Nowlin Speed Demon 2 Action Kit 3lb Pull
Kit was installed in my Springfield Armory 1911A1, which I've had for about 30 years. Pistol had a horrible trigger, and I decided to do something about it. Parts were installed by me without any problems. I don't own a trigger gage, so I don't know if its 3lbs or what, but it is now much better than it was, so, I'm very happy with it.
From 8 lbs down to 4.5 lbs
I really am impressed with this set. By now I'm sure there is really no such thing as drop in 1911 kits, because you have to do minor adjustments to almost everything, but not quite. The sear and disconnector fit just right. I had to modify the hammer, because it would not fit to the grip safety. That's on me, because my grip safety does not fit the Commander Style hammer. But it worked with my modification. The sear spring needed a little tweaking, and I think that's probably true of all replacement sear springs. This went into a Norinco clone of the 1911A1, which had a horrendous, almost 8 lb trigger pull. Now it breaks about 4.25 lbs, which is tremendous improvement. I learned so much from this upgrade, and with some research, and careful gunsmithing (at home), I'm really happy with this kit ! If you want to improve the trigger pull on your 1911, you will be very pleased with this Nowlin Speed Demon II Action Kit.
Would buy again
Installed one in my Colt Gov. model last night . Install was easy .Just remember how the old parts came out and put the new ones in the same way . Now the trigger pull is right at 4 pounds and it breaks beautiful . Very happy .

The first kit I received had a issue with the hammer. I contacted the company and the President contacted me back and shipped me a replacement which worked flawlessly. Great company/people to work with.
The easest way to upgrade your 1911
I install this trigger job kit along with the 1911 AUTO ULTRALIGHT MATCH TRIGGER and it took my gun to a whole other level!!! Sweet, crisp and precise gun and really makes a difference at the range. *** Be careful if you don't have a beaver tail on your 1911 because that will be something you will have to replace too ***
This Knowlin kit does the job well
I replaced the hammer, sear, sear spring, diconnector, and main spring in my colt XSE. The colt had a 4 1/2 pound trigger pull, and after installation the trigger pull was clean, crisp, 3 1/4 pounds. I have fired about 12000 rounds since the installation and the trigger is still as good as it was upon installation.
well worth it
I bought the Nowlin Pro-Match trigger job for my Remington R1 1911. There were a couple of minor issues with the installation. I had to do a bit of filing on the sear to get the thumb safety to slide back in place. Also, The sear spring needed some minor adjustment to get the grip safety to function properly. This was the first 1911 pistol I'd taken apart. It's a bit surprising how small the parts are for a relatively large pistol. If you keep track of all the parts and watch the installation video on the Brownells website, there shouldn't be any problems. The bottom line for me is that the trigger pull on the my R1 is lighter and more consistent now.
More work than expected
The Pro trigger kit did what it claimed. It provided a safe, secure trigger that breaks at 31/2 lbs as advertised. However the trigger hook surfaces were quite rough and needed lots of stoning with a hard Arkansas stone to smooth it out.
hammer/sear mis-match
installed in a caspian .45...hammer notch had only the center 1/3 in contact with full face sear. 1/3 of Rt and left hammer notch was missing. Hammer at full position would lock with sear due to rough interface and deap hammer notch.
