What Reviewers Are Saying
Ease of Installation

Many users reported that the spring dropped right into their firearms without needing significant adjustments, making it a user-friendly choice for both novice and experienced gun owners.
Product Quality
75%
Reviewers consistently praised the quality of the spring, citing its tough construction and materials. It is noted as a reliable choice for 1911 modifications, enhancing performance effectively.
Trigger Pull Adjustment
45%
Some users found that the stiffness of the spring resulted in heavier trigger pulls than expected, leading to mixed feedback. While some achieved their desired trigger weight with adjustments, others expressed dissatisfaction with the resulting weight following installation.
Fitment Issues
25%
A few reviewers experienced issues with fitment in certain firearm models, indicating that while the spring works well for many, it may not be universally compatible across all 1911 variants. This highlights the importance of checking specifications prior to purchase.
Comparative Alternatives

works exactly as described
Dropped right in with no adjustment. Re-set one of the "fingers" slightly and as advertised did not take an undesirable "set".

GI type of spring, which is a good thing
This spring is a bit stiffer than most as it is a bit thicker. More to the GI spec rather than sport, but a good spring none the less. I use these to do "GI" type trigger jobs.

Update to My Earlier Review
This is an update to my preliminary review. After more bending by using a spent shell casing over the middle leaf for leverage (while I put the bottom of the sear spring in a vise), I was able to get the trigger pull down to my-desired 4.5 pounds. This sear spring's stiffness or thickness seems more than my original Kimber's sear spring and more than a Cylinder & Slide light-trigger-pull sear spring. It just took much more bending and patience on my part to get the spring bent/adjusted right.

Good quality Wilson parts
Works perfectly for a kimber 1911 pro TLE 2 Slight smithing req.

23lb seems to be perfect for my 1911
The 23lb bullet proof sear spring works great with the other parts that I've had NP3+ coated and installed/adjusted by robar. The combination of the deluxe sear & XP firing pin return spring with Wilson's combat bulletproof firing pin, 23lb hammer spring which keeps a 5lb pull for competition and is better for personal protection as this isn't a target pistol where a 18 or 19lb hammer spring is great but not what you want for LEOs or personal protection. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD8DL8Mpc77Il7-NFUVVtWA

Great sear spring
Replaced a 4 blade spring with this one, great move on my part, I guess the 4 blade is OK, but I will not go back. the 3 blade seems so much stronger, does a beautiful job. Again, I have used Wilson parts for many years, never a problem.

works well
I installed this spring in a Kimber Target Match .45, a limited edition pistol that doesn't feature a firing pin safety. The Wilson sear spring fit right in to the gun with no adjustment needed. It gave a smooth feel to the trigger and restored the proper tension to the grip safety. The spring doesn't really have blued finish, it is more like a grey color, not that it matters but I thought I'd mention it.
