1911 AUTO HD-120 EXTREME SERVICE IGNITION COMPONENTS

1911 AUTO HD-120 EXTREME SERVICE IGNITION COMPONENTS Reviews & Ratings

Critical ignition parts are machined from high-grade tool steel for precise fit and reliable, consistent function under the most demanding operating conditions. Each component is wire-EDM cut, CNC machined and honed to final dimensions with +/-.005" tolerances for drop-in fit on many 1911s, then heat-treated to Rc 53-56 to maintain those dimensions through thousands of firing cycles. Hammer hooks are pre-prepped and sear nose polished for precise contact and crisp, clean letoff. Commander-style hammer has elongated spur with deep serrations to provide extra-secure thumb purchase. Beveled edges resist snagging on clothing and protect the thumb from abrasion, and slightly narrower hammer body prevents unwanted slide contact. HD-120 set includes hammer, sear, and disconnector. Each component also available separately. HD-120B set features a black IonBond DLC coating on the hammer, for those who prefer the traditional “blued” look combined with wear- and corrosion-resistance similar to hard-chrome.

SPECS: Hardened tool steel, in-the-white. Hardened to Rc 53-56. HD-120B set’s sear has a black IonBond DLC finish. Some fitting may be required.

Drop-In Perfection
Installed in a TISAS B45 Carry, dropped in without and fitting. Quality of the parts is excellent, hammer/sear engagement was perfect requiring no honing. Sear breaks crisply. Simple adjustment of the sear spring achieved a 4 lbs trigger break, exactly where I wanted it to be.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

1911 trigger rebuild
My old standby with a nice 3.5 lb trigger started to follow after many rounds. Bought this, talked to the mfg (which was very helpful), installed it as received. Adjusted the spring to 3.5 lb. pull- its great! I am used to honing hammers and sears to get this kind of performance, but this was basically "drop in" with some spring work and right there! With some wear in, should be perfect. Well made parts!

Top of the line
I rebuild 1911s. Over the last two years I've slowly started using Harrison for all my premium rebuilds. Not only are the parts correctly produced from excellent material, the finish work is much better than the next two competitors. When my clients want top shelf parts that work every time and last almost for ever, Harrison Design fits the bill. Internals come already polished to reduce friction and the hammer/sear engagement is exact, Unless the gun is out of spec, very little needs to be done to get a light, crips trigger that never fails. You can buy less expensive or more popular "guts" and spend time tuning them to get the same fit and finish Harrison Design delivers every time, but why? I save the time to use it on other details and the client is always impressed.

Very nicely finshed parts.
Beautifully machined parts. Note, the hammer full-cock radius was slightly higher than the original in my Springfield RO Elite Target. That required fitting of the thumb safety sear stop surface for proper operation. With no other modifications, it provided a perfectly crisp 4.0 - 4.25 pound trigger pull.

Very High Quality
Excellent quality parts. The hammer is polished and beautifully finish. Nice serrations on the hammer. Not a drop-in part, but not much work required for a great trigger. I used Ed Brown jig and arkansas + ceramic stones for primary and secondary sear angles, and polished the disconnector where it contacts the trigger bow and sear spring. The machining and polish on the hammer hooks was already as exceptional. The fit of the hammer and sear is perfect. 4 pound trigger job with very little work.

Great product
A very good upgrade to my Para Target Elite 1911, only had to ream strut hole , all parts were a drop in. Functions perfect.--- [ also added Wilson 18 Lbs main spring to reduce trigger pull to about 3 Lbs. ]

Amazing disconnector
I was unhappy with the lack of fit and finish on the disconnector in my Kimber Pro Carry II. It was a very rough part. Even after stoning the surfaces, I still wasn't very happy. I saw that this part had pre-ploished surfaces and decided to check it out. It's an amazing part. The polished surfaces are silky smooth and the part itself is beautifully machined. I plan to pick up a few more of these in the future. It's a great part at a great price.

I'm glad I spent the money.
The fit, finish and function of this product are outstanding. No additional stoning or polishing was needed for a perfect trigger.

Broken Back can shoot
I did cut the angle on the sear with the Ed Brown Sear Jig and cut the back angle. Adjusted the disconector leaf spring and I got a crisp glass breaking 3.25 pound trigger pull. That is what I was looking for on a target 1911. I have tried other manufacture C&S drop in pull kits and feel these are better quality parts. I did have to make same small adjustments to the thumb safety. I would add a 19 pound main spring and install the 1911 AUTO TITANIUM HAMMER STRUT.

Excellent compnets
Installed these in my GI Expert ESP and what a difference in trigger pull. Parts dropped right in without any modifications. Going to have to buy a set for my Para LTC.
