RIA Ultra FS
Looking for extra mags for my Rock Island Ultra FS. Didn’t want to go with the metalform mags with the screw on basepads that the gun came with. Heard these were fine but may encounter issues when loaded with 9rds. Loaded eight to start and found 9 to be just as reliable. OG mags were good too. Just like the ease of taking off the basepads on these. Probably snag some more.

1911 magazine
Wilson combat-The best 1911 magazines made!!!!!!!!
Excellent service and merchandise
Just received my order of Wilson 47NX magazines. Excellent service ,excellent merchandise and excellent prices...as usual.
Nice Magazine
- I purchased 4 of these and they all work perfectly in my Colt Double Eagle. - Zero malfunctions. - Easy to load. - The follower was a bit stiff for the first couple of uses but still zero malfunctions and they became very slick with use. - I did not have to lubricate the follower or mag body. - I've only fired approximately 200 rounds through each of these magazines but so far they are perfect. - The nine round capacity in a magazine that is the same length as my factory 8 rounders is a bonus.
Works great for .40 S&W too...
I use these mags in my .40 S&W Fusion Kit gun and they work great. I have had no issues and I am hard on them.
Finally!!!!!!!!!!
No longer shall the .45 shooters reap the benefit of the Wilson mags. Now that the 10mm Auto is somewhat back in vogue, Delta's, Kimber's and Dan Wesson 1911 have a superior feed source.
WILSON 47NX 10mm Mags
Good magazines. I would rate these as typical Wilson 47D mags, but for the 10mm caliber. These function perfect in a finicky Kimber 10mm. Strong mag springs, and positive slide lock on empty. No malfunctions at all using several different 47NX mags. The only issue I can see is the mags are rated to hold 9 rounds, but will not insert when fully loaded on a closed slide. Downloaded to 8 rounds, they lock inplace. This may just be an issue with the Kimber 10mm.
Great magazine but
As expected flawless operation is all 4 of my 1911 based 10mm pistols. However all of my Wilson 47D 45ACP magazines have worked just as well with 10mm some are as old as 25 or 26 years old still bearing the name "Wilson-Rodgers" on the base plate and some are only 5 years old. So why spend the extra money?
Is, but it isn't
As usual when it comes to the label Wilson Combat, quality is automatically expected. This magazine doesn't disappoint, but also doesn't garner any stellar accolades either. Fit and finish are the usual Wilson Combat, top notch, but if you force 9 rounds into it, the top round nose dives into the feed ramp, at least it nose dives into the feed ramp of my Rock Island 10mm 1911. Loaded with eight rounds there are no issues, feed and function are one hundred percent. I give it three stars because its Wilson Combat quality, but isn't the capacity its advertised as....
Garbage
- everything looks good when loading, except the 9th round nosedives as soon as you load it
- from what I can tell this is a just a regular 1911 mag with the follower shorted, which greatly decreases reliability
- a better design would extend the magazine into the slam pad, like a Glock 30 or 19x
- repeat, this is a generic 1911 mag with some material shaved off the follower to supposedly make it "9 round capacity"
- IMO you can call something "9 round capacity" unless it can feed 9 rounds too. Even 1 time. This magazine cannot do that.
Surprised Wilson Combat put their name on a product that obviously is flawed out of the box.
Just going to use this as a range mag and move on to something better.
