its good, but slide does not stay open after firing last round
the magazine is great, however when firing the last round the slide does not stay open. i swapped this magazine for the factory magizine that came with it and the slide stayed open after firing the last round. be mindful of this when purchasing aftermarket magizines for a 1911.
Well Built BUT...
i bought 6 of these - PRO: this mag appears to be very well built ; i had no problem loading 8rds ; it cycled well. CON: 1- the base pad in the front part of the mag is too tall and will not allow 4 of the mags to seat in my fullsize; 3 would not seat in my Cmdr. i had to cut off at least 0.1" to get those to lock. 2- the base pad on this mag is too big and the mag body is too long for CC. even if you install the optional 'reduced' base pad, the mag body sticks well out of the bottom of the frame, increasing your 'print'. so i will not use for daily carry but these are perfect if your running a big 'magwell' funnel on your gamer or duty gun.
Cant fit 8th round
Well built but cant fit 8th round. Managed to get 8 in one but wouldnt seat. Also, hard to eject. Top round rattled a bit. I returned them
so-so
The mag body is thin and flexible giving it a somewhat cheap feel. The base plate is the same old plastic that tends to crack when dropped on a hard floor and the feed lips are sharp. On the plus side, the follower is a good design, the spring is strong and the holes on the side line up well with the rounds.
