Difficult to find replacement mags.
I purchased my Colt/Walther 1911 .22 from a fellow shooter who was looking to upgrade to a .45 1911. With 2 mags and a nearly full box of range ammo the price was right. Unfortunately one of the mags proved defective. It was flipping the bullets up causing an ftf condition and aftermarket mags are not available. Brownells was the ONLY place to find replacements so I ordered 3. 6 days after placing my order they were in my mailbox! Very fast and great customer service! I will be doing business with Brownelles again!

excellent product.
these magazines are great. I keep adding to my collection of them so I can shoot without having to reload as often. I use the 1911-22 to practice on a regular basis, because of the cost of 45 ammo. i will definitely being ordering more in the future.

Outstanding quality
I've used both the 10rd and 12rd mags until my state changed to 10rd limit. Both worked equally well in the Walther Colt .22LR 1911. They talk of silver or blued color - that only refers to the metal portion, all the bases are black. I've been shooting these mags for 5+ years and have never had a failure to feed. I don't know why but the availability of these mags is either feast or famine. Get them when you see them and I suggest 10-12 mags per gun.

A well made smooth functioning magazine
These magazines are made in Germany as is the pistol by Walther. It has a metal body and comes in 10 and 12 round sizes to accommodate what ever is the mag law of your state. It is a single stack and is similar enough to the .45 magazine to be used to all pistol drills.
